The human woman went limp and Riley released her, taking a step back. He watched Tao's face as it changed and darkened, and he felt a shifter jolt up his spine. Once the woman had gone, Riley returned to Tao's side, kneeling down beside him. "I couldn't leave." He said shortly, and reached out a hand to brush it over Tao's forehead. "You're colder than usual." He said with a frown, "Are you alright?"
