Riley didn't hear a single word that Tao said after 'nightmare.' Instead, he felt that blind rage bubbling up inside his chest, like a chorus of teeth ripping and tearing at his insides. He rose to his feet so quickly that the chair under him toppled over. "You son of a bitch!" He shouted, hard enough to hurt his throat. Now he did meet Tao's eyes, with the wide, angry eyes of a cornered animal. "You sit there pontificating about this human who has psychic abilities, you claim you only use yours when it's necessary- you've just been full of bullshit this whole time!" He bared his teeth at the vampire and seemed ready to leap over the desk at any moment, "Tell me what you did to my head, you sick fuck!"
