Riley Aventine ([info]amulius) wrote,
Riley looked down at Tao with new eyes. That deep longing inside of the vampire for him was beating in his racing heart. It was terrifying, that level of understanding, and he could feel the temptation to fall apart under the weight of all that knowledge. His mind was not meant to contemplate the kind of life that spanned hundreds of years, and it was not prepared for the implication that Tao had seen all of the parts of his life that had flashed before his eyes. He buried his hand in the vampire's hair and pressed a gentle kiss to his lips.

"Had to make a legend." He murmured, tasting salt on Tao's skin. He smiled and raised his other hand to brush the tears away from his eyes. "Are you weeping for yourself, or for me?" His voice had taken on a different affect, all of those years of dead-yet-not-dead existence weighing heavily on him. His eyes were deep and dark as they scanned Tao's face. "It's alright." He moaned softly, moving his hips ever so slightly. "I'm not-" His voice trembled somewhat, "I'm not afraid. I'm alright."
