The memories of Tao's life flashed in front of Riley's eyes like sunspots, the remnants of a life lived far beyond its intended length. Every time he blinked a new memory appeared in front of his eyes, and so he closed them tight and buried his face in the crook of the vampire's neck. "You've done worse." He groaned, "It's all too much to pick out specific things, but I can feel-" He shuddered and let out a breath against Tao's skin. He pressed a kiss to his neck. "I fought a bear with my human hands and tore out his throat with dull teeth." He groaned, slowly but steadily beginning to build up his momentum once more. "Tao," He murmured, "You're warm."
