Riley was annoyed that Tao had so quickly shot down what he had said, but at the same time, how could he be angry at Tao for wanting to protect the integrity his fierce pride. "It was just an idea." Riley muttered, wiping his mouth with the back of his hand. "Lucky for you, shifters don't have royalty like you. In this area, I'm the law." There were higher ranks within the spiritual leaders, Riley knew, but they rarely if ever came down from their high perches to grace alphas like him with their presence. He grinned.
