Murder of Crows 002; Wolfram/ Tao
While he had expected the phone call, there were things he needed to do to prepare that meant he was kept busy from the moment the call ended until the shifters arrival.  A quick call or two and he had people in place to take care of any business that evening.  Taking time to himself for other duties wasn't unusual so it wasn't anything that raised brows for him to take the time away.  All else needed to be dealt with at his sanctuary.  First he fed.  A must since  neither he nor the shifter were looking for a large exchange of blood.  It was meant to be ceremonial only.  His feeding would be decided after.  Once Wolfram was aware of what he was dealing with.  Tao.  Did not feed.  Doing so was a greater risk to his existence than starving was.  So he fed on dead blood.  Donated at centers, given by those that needed to yet show their loyalties.  He did not feed from a living being.  He hadn't in too long to fathom.

Making sure that the three people, all humans, that were employed or cared for in his sanctuary were moved to the upper floors was easy enough.  Most were used to the need for privacy should a new person be brought in.  William was the only objection.  He'd been with Tao for more than 20 years now and considered himself head of the household.  He wished to stay, to do his job, to greet and see to the needs of any guests.  It wasn't an argument, because in the end Tao had simply given it as an order, and William had obeyed.  Once he had made sure there was enough warmed blood for Tao.

He'd made the sitting room as comfortable as possible, with no hints to anything more than sitting and talking.  Using all his energy to calm a nervous werecrow in order to make the encounter more intimate would be a waste of energy.  As it was he was dreading it himself.  He enjoyed the company of a man, but in the situation where the man was feeling beholden or forced, it disgusted him.  There were too many that enjoyed his ministrations to try them on someone unwilling.  Perhaps he was a bit egocentric, but he knew how to please either sex, and there were certain pleasures he enjoyed giving as much as receiving.  To think he needed to force or coerce was an insult.

Once he heard the door he finished his drink, disposed of the glass and took to the door.  Dressed casually, for him, in only slacks and shirt, he padded to the door and opened it.  "Come in.  Did you need anything before we start?  William is quite adept at having on hand anything a shifter may require."
