Be grateful your howler arrived while you were at home. My mother’s reached me at the bar, much to the amusement of my employees. I am apparently a wanton harlot who has lead you astray and brought the houses of Avery and Rosier shame.

It feels a little like the same old news after your cousin's comments the other day. Such disappointments to the pureblood society and their rules, aren't we?

We are newly weds, it's expected that we would be wanton, and I make no apologies. Besides, the more wanton I am, the better the chance they see a precious grandchild one day, so they should see it as a positive thing. I definitely enjoy embracing that part of my nature.

My cousins have high expectations. We grew up together and are close enough where we have set standards for each other. Rodolphus and I don’t get along and Lucius is barely passing tolerable. It’s no coincidence, but I don’t need to explain any of that to you because I know you understand.

We’ve gone this long without causing a surprise, that I know of at least. Let’s not rush into providing them with a grandchild. I want you to myself still.

I could respect Bella’s comments, and I doubt she likes Rod anymore than you do really. What on earth Narcissa sees in Lucius I have no idea though, but it’s clear she and I are very different women, so I am not too upset at not meeting her expectations. We see our roles as wives very differently.

I am in no rush, I enjoy our life the way it is right now. There’s plenty of time to deal with heirs in the future.

Bellatrix’s comments were interesting considering her loyalty and devote following of a man, adhering go his every command. That is neither here nor there. However, the standards that have been set are the measure by which Bellatrix and especially Narcissa, strongly believe in. They are well aware of my lack of tradition. Perhaps they were hoping I would change eventually. It's you and I that matter. No one else.

If we decide on heirs at all.
