Topher stands at 6 feet, with brown hair that often hangs in his eyes. He shaves pretty regularly, which leaves a smooth face. He has dark eyes that are probably appraising and judging you.

Clothing wise, he doesn't really care. He has more of an early 2000 style, with tshirts and a button up shirt thrown over top of that, sometimes buttoned but usually not. He's a fan of jeans and runners. He'll only dress up if Cal demands it but otherwise, it's too much effort.

p e r s o n a l i t y

Topher is a nice boy. Honest. He knows how to be polite and personable. He knows how to be respectable. He has a firm handshake. The thing is, usually, Topher just isn't these things. He rather mad at the world, and primarily at Cal, the vampire that controls him. Since there isn't a lot that he can do about this anger, he tends to lash out. He can be snarky, sarcastic and rude.

Even before Cal, he had trouble getting close to people. He isn't sure why but he has always kept a distance from people, expecting them to leave or disappoint him or something in one way or another. Sure, he has had friends but it was felt more superficial friendship than truly soul revealing.

As such, Topher has never had a real relationship. Casual hookups once in a while but it was more of experimentation than anything else. They didn't make him feel anything, not really. Definitely nothing enough to want to pursue a relationship.

Topher has a "run away" attitude. When things get hard or confusing, he removes himself from the situation. When things get too emotional, too personal, he removes himself. Even once, literally going on a trip that was to last months just to take a breather from reality. He has no idea where this trait comes from but it is strong in him.

b i o g r a p h y

Topher grew up in an unconventional household; his parents were a triad, having been together since college, had a personal ceremony to cement their commitment to one another. When Topher started school, they tried to tell him to just explain his family as mom, dad and an uncle, instead of papa. It lasted until June when the kids were celebrating Father's day and Topher refused to only acknowledge one of his fathers. They were both his dads. They were a family and that's all that mattered to Topher.

Topher did grow up with some traditional values, in the sense that he knew he had to go to school, get an education, get a job, have a family of his own. The type of family didn't matter, but the rest? It was non-negotiable. Topher did do well in school and he enjoyed his classes at university but as graduation drew near, he couldn't help but feel panicked that The Rest of His Life™ was right there. Other classmates were excited but he? Felt suffocated.

Topher planned a trip. He had saved enough money and took some from his graduation gifts and decided to backpack throughout Europe. He went to a city, stayed there a bit until he decided to hop the train and go somewhere else. It was amazing. He got to see so much of Europe and as long as he focused on that, he felt great. As soon as he thought about how his trip would end, he felt that panic come back. He wasn't ready for that yet.

He made his way to Marseille, France. He planned to stay a day or two and then leave France. Instead that first night, something attacked him, choked him and slammed him against a wall. A man named Calhoun Moreaux saved him, though Topher still doesn't know how, and invited him back to his place. What Topher didn't know was that Cal was a vampire and was mixing his own blood into Topher's drinks to make Topher stay. Cal would claim it was in order to keep Topher safe from the terrifying world. Once Topher found out, he was furious. This wasn't The Rest of his Life™ but it was a lack of free will. There was nothing he could do about it; to leave would mean that he would go into withdrawal and he wasn't entirely sure if he was strong enough to survive that. For now, he stayed with Cal, plotting his time.
