AU History Blurb: Loki might have died in his home timeline, but he managed to make a new life for himself in a different world. He found himself transplanted to Everett, Washington. He was confused, but figured that things could be a lot worse. He was able to adjust to life there quickly, first mostly sticking to himself (due to most of the Avengers being there), then slowly starting to make friends with some of the other citizens living there.

The friendship that made the most of an impact on him was with Claire Bennet, a young woman who arrived from a world where humans were evolving into having super powers. A consequence of her own healing powers meant that she literally couldn't die, so it was a nice thing for both of them that they both knew they would still be around together long after most everyone else around them had passed. What started as a friendship eventually grew to love, and they spent most of their time together.

They lived in the cabin in the woods that he built and protected, along with Claire's dog, Mr. Muggles. He trained her how to fight and even created a set of knives that would return to her magically every time that she threw them. He wanted to make sure that, while nothing could hurt her in the long term, she would be able to take care of whomever dared to attack her as well. They managed to stick together through thick and thin, through trials and tribulations. Even when they were turned into their alternate selves, they were still pulled toward one another.

Finally, in January of 2024, he proposed to her. He had wanted to for a while, only to finally realize that waiting for a right time was fruitless. Something was always happening in Everett. Eventually, the people of Everett were caught between a struggle for power between Wolfram & Hart and a Cabal of powerful people who wanted to destroy them, but only so that they could take power for themselves. They managed to survive the battle (although not everyone in Everett did), only for the two of them to arrive in Hawaii.
