» PERSONALITY. LIKES: Baking, adventure, snooping, gossip, writing, witch weekly, food, flowers and all things girly. DISLIKES: Secrets, bugs, blood purism, frizzy hair, self-inclusive drama and arithmancy. BOGGART: Being the outcast. PERSONALITY: Shona genuinely wants to be a good person. But she’s just so darn nosey! There is always gossip to be spread and she’s typically the person to do it. She also isn’t above abusing her prefect powers to occasionally look in on the Astronomy tower or other known places to see if she can spy any new blossoming romances. This incredible need to know just about everything has it’s positive perks. Shona is very good at retaining information and that has only helped her in her academic studies. While she’s good at retaining facts and other things of that nature, it doesn’t mean that she’s able to to perform well as she’s a rather clumsy person and excels more in herbology and potions than she ever has in wand magic. But she can write a mean essay. Shona is very open and welcoming to pretty much anyone she talks to, unless she’s super close to people, she tends to be neutral and friendly with everyone. She can’t be a fly on the wall if everyone hates her. But the people she admires are the people who aren't afraid to have fun and be adventurous, she measures how interesting people are based on their experiences, and she wants to be wealthy in just that. | |

» THE EARLY YEARS. HOMETOWN: Marylebone, London, UK CHILDHOOD HISTORY: Shona was the typical baby of the family. Grew up a bit spoiled, and whiny. Followed her big sister around EVERYWHERE. And while Shaylie seemed to groan and complain to their parents. More often than not Shaylie loved the admiration she retrieved. Shona was a well like little girl among her friends at school and seemed to get along with everyone. Nothing seemed amiss until Shona had an embarrassing tantrum involving chocolate milk at home, while the fit was also odd it wasn’t quite as odd as when the chocolate milk flew out of the fridge into the wall. Luckily for poor Shona this happened a week before her 11th birthday and all of her answers were answered when someone from the ministry came to explain everything to her and her parents. Her mother fought the idea for a while. How could SHE let her baby go off to some school in the Scottish Highlands? What if this was some scam? Some ring that steals children and sells them all across the globe? Sharon’s anxiety obviously got to Shona and she too rejected the idea, but it would explain why she felt a little different. Why little things happened and she shrugged them off. But what got her more than anything was her absolutely disgusting level of curiosity. You mean to say that there is an entire civilization that nobody knows about? Shona was magical and she had an exclusive ticket into a hidden society. What else did they have to offer? Shona begged her parents, and while her father was open to the idea of giving her this incredible opportunity, Sharon still said no. But then she said yes about an hour later. Shona had never been so happy and excited. But she was going on this adventure alone, and that was frightening. | |

CLASSES: Charms, DADA, Divination, Herbology, Potions, Transfiguration OWL SCORES: Charms - E DADA - E Divination - E Herbology - O Potions - O Transfiguration - E Astronomy - D Arithmancy - D EXTRACURRICULARS: Is a prefect, likes to write her own school gossip column from time to time, but likes to make and create quite a bit. HOGWARTS HISTORY: When Shona first arrived she was still getting over the shock of Diagon Alley and it’s wonder. Her eyeballs nearly exploded when she got off the train and laid her eyes on her home for the first time. Going in Shona had no preferences on what house she was sorted in, but she thought that the hat made a great choice, because she got along very well with her dorm mates. Shona wasn’t sure what she was so nervous about. This place was great. And she wrote her family just that. And they wrote back about how great that was. This place beat muggle schools anyday. Muggle, that was a strange word to roll off her tongue, she went from never hearing it to using it on a daily basis, because before that year, for all intents and purposes she was one. Shona was an information sponge, she had to know everything about this place, take everything that it offered to her. She got to fly on brooms! Make things float! Arithmancy was a bust. That was just math, but somehow it was still better than muggle math! When she was 15 she got her prefects badge it truly surprised her, but she was beyond happy to share it with her family. They were happy for her. “That’s so nice dear.” In hindsight Shona realized that even though her parents wrote her back with kind words, she and her family had grown to become strangers. They went from seeing each other every day to three months out of the year and some holidays. Shona tried not to let it bother her. They were still adjusting. More than ever Shona focused on discussing the things around her. | |
» SAMPLES. JOURNAL: Did anyone see what happened in the great hall this morning? I heard the commotion but I couldn’t see over everyone’s heads. Was it a fight? Did it have anything to do with the Gryffindor v. Slytherin game coming up? [Warded to Hufflepuff girls] I guess Penny Parkin is dating Julien Orpington? He’s super cute though so I could see why. I wonder if they’re going to go easy on each other just because they’re dating. Or it could all be just a terrible plan to make Gryffindor go easy on them. LOG: Shona was walking her prefect rounds alone that night, her typical partner had the stomach flu and was resting on the fourth floor tonight. It wasn’t that big of a deal tonight she was just walking the halls around the Hufflepuff common room. Being an extremely talkative person, Shona was really hating the solidarity and wandered a wider perimeter which now included the kitchens. There were two younger boys, she couldn’t tell what house because they were in their pajamas. Their arms were filled with baked goods. “Do you think that the house elves ever spit in our food?” “What?” The other boy asked confusedly to the other. “Why would they do that?” “Iunno, for fun I guess? I put a boogie in my brother’s sandwich once and he ate it.” Shona couldn’t help but snort at that and the boys both snapped around and looked absolutely horrified and started to run. “Hey!” Shona called out and they both decided it was better to stop and their shoulders fell. “We’re sorry ma’am,” The boogie boy said, a grimace immediately crawled on her face. How old did they think she was? Shona grabbed a raspberry danish from the boys armful of goodies. “Go to bed boys, before you get into trouble.” | |
