SEXUALITY: Bisexual SIGNIFICANT OTHER: N/A; Tony Rico (d. 1998 at age 37). CHILDREN: Miscarriage in 1998 at age 23, seven weeks. Appearance OVERVIEW: Standing at 5'7, Viv weighs in around 135lbs. Her normal hair styles for her black tresses are either down either straight or slightly curled or up in a tight ponytail. Naturally tanned skin and a curvy body leave the boys panting after her, however she ignores most advances. To add to her attraction, she has natural blue/grey eyes. While her work clothes are professional, she adds a bit of herself to it. Viv always tries to find form fitting pant or skirt suits. Also, her skirts usually have a slit up the back that come a little higher than most. Her normal undergarments are always sexy. For stockings she wears thigh highs instead of the traditional pantyhose. Her panties are always either lacy boy shorts or high cut bikinis and she always wears a corset bustier. When Viv's not at work, her clothing is quite different. She's far more casual on a daily basis. You can usually catch her in jeans and tank tops with a hoodie or if she's on her way to the gym, in a pair of yoga pants and a sports bra. For a night out on the town, Viv usually pulls on a pair of skin tight jeans or black pants and a barely there top. Heals are mandatory for her wardrobe at work and for play. Other than those occasions you'll find her in a pair of sneakers or sandals. Personality DETAILED PERSONALITY: Vivienne is the happy sort. She's not overly happy, where you wonder if she's on some sort of medication, but 95% of her day she's calm and smiling. One of her positive and negative qualities is that she's a bit OCD, although not formally diagnosed. Her apartment and desk at work have to be in complete order at all times. When they're not she gets upset and a little flustered. Viv will then spend however long it takes to get things back into order. Sounds bad right? Not really, at least when it comes to being in charge of your own potions project within the Department of Mysteries to create and give a definite timeframe for invisibility. It makes her work far easier and allows her to do more of what her bosses needs her to do. While she's not shy, she won't really talk to you unless she has to or is spoken to first. However, once you get her talking, she'll not stop until she's gotten her point across. Viv's not one to keep her opinion to herself either. If she doesn't like you, she'll tell you to your face. Also, if she's interested in you and thinks there's a possibility of something happening, she'll let you know her feelings. However, there are always some exceptions to her rules. As for hobbies, Vivienne loves dance and gymnastics. While she's nowhere near professional level in either hobby, she does find that it helps keep her body in shape. The gymnastics also helps with her Defense Against the Dark Arts fighting techniques. Flexibility is never a bad thing to have in your arsenal. History Vivienne was born on the best holiday of the year, Halloween night, around 9:30pm. It was quite a cool evening and there was heavy fog. This could be the reason why she absolutely loves the holiday and the spookier it is the better. For the first four years of her life, Vivienne enjoyed being an only child, but when her parents told her she was going to be a big sister, she became excited. While she'd been spoiled as much as possible by her parents, the Dumas clan didn't have a lot of money to spare. Things became even tighter when her younger sister was born. While Vivienne never wanted much, she was silently sad when the things she did want couldn't be given to her. This is what drove her to be the very best at whatever it was she chose to do for a career. If you were the best, then you were compensated better and then you didn’t have to want for anything. Even from a very early age, Vivienne had thought she wanted to be a dancer and open her own studio. Things got a little better for the Dumas family when Jacques accepted a position in England that came with living accommodations and better pay. England was a culture shock of change, as they weren’t quite as laid back in their lifestyle always rushing about to get around the city. Settling into a regular routine, the Dumas family quickly acclimated and even began making friends. Just as Vivienne was starting to like England and her friends, she received her letter to attend Hogwarts. Of course, at first she thought it was a complete joke someone was playing on her, but as the letters continued to show up and in increasingly more magical ways she knew it was for real. On her very first day of school, Vivienne was nervous. She usually made friends fairly easily once she figured out those that were similar to her. Here, friends would most likely be determined by whatever house she was sorted into. As she sat for her sorting, all that kept running through her head were questions on how all of it worked. How could a hat make a decision? Was a soul somehow trapped inside the hat? Was there a book that would explain it all? If so, where could she sign up to get her hands on it? It was no surprise when she ended up sorted into Ravenclaw. School itself was rather uneventful. Sure, all of it was extremely new and exciting to her, but nothing major happened as Lord Voldemort was assumed dead and his followers either imprisoned or in hiding. It didn’t take Vivienne very long to figure out what she excelled at the most, potions. It was all very precise and distinct. There were measurements that, if followed accordingly, had definitive results. In her hunger for knowledge she started playing with the potions some to make variations and see what use they would be. There were a lot of burned cauldrons, noxious gasses, and explosions, but ultimately she found new uses for what she made and knew that they’d be useful all around for the masses. When school was over, Vivienne took a position working with a Potions Master in order to garner more knowledge and understanding. She worked for him for three years before joining the Ministry of Magic and started at the bottom, working her way up. By the time she was 22, she had managed to get herself promoted into the Department of Mysteries working on different project potions. It was while working here that met her first love, Tony Rico. He was an older friend of one of her colleagues and the two of them hit it off instantly. Well… it was more like they had drinks one night and fell into bed with one another, but after that first night real feelings began to build between them. So much so that Tony, a pureblood, helped Vivienne hide from the Snatchers. He was extremely rich and the only living heir to his family fortune and therefore was able to whisk her away at any sign of danger with no one the wiser. Vivienne, not wanting to be a burden, continued working on her projects at self-made laboratories at each of his homes, taking journals upon journals full of notes. She refused to let the war come between her and the good of the future of the Wizarding world. After a year of running and hiding, Tony received word that a final battle was oncoming. Wanting to see a final end to all of this madness and Lord Voldemort pay for his crimes, Tony prepared to head out. The morning he was set to leave, Vivienne finally took a pregnancy test, having suspected that she might be with child. When the results were clear, she nervously approached her love with the news. She was nervous about his reception of the news. There was a significant age gap between them and they’d only been together a little over a year. However, much to her surprise, Tony rejoiced in the news and told her that she needed to stay behind and let him go help finish this war once and for all. When he returned, they would marry and raise their family together. Two days later, word was heard around the Wizarding World that Lord Voldemort was dead and that the war was over. She knew that many lives had been loss in the battle and a part of her felt sorry for the loss of life, but she was also happy that now good times could start anew for everyone and she and Tony could start their family. When she hadn’t heard from him, she decided to go into the office to see if any news on the survivors had been heard. Surely he was just trying to help those injured and in need. As she stepped into her office, her supervisor pulled her into his office and sat her down. He told her that Tony had been one of the unfortunate ones to lose his life in the battle between Good and Evil. Shocked, she stood quickly to back out of the office. However, she almost instantly doubled over as pain spread through her abdomen. Looking down, she noticed a trickle of blood streaking down her inner thigh. Then there was nothing but blackness as she passed out. Waking up several hours later at St. Mungo’s, the healers informed her that she had miscarried and that they were sorry for her loss. Devastated, Vivienne gathered her things and made her way back to the last home they shared together. She lay in bed for three days, not eating, not drinking. The only time she got up was to use the restroom, otherwise she laid in bed staring into nothingness and grieved her losses. Tony’s paid house elf, Jervis, grew concerned for her and sought help from Tony’s friend, Richard, who was also Vivienne’s boss. When Richard came to the home, he found Vivienne shivering in the bottom of the shower under a stream of cold water. After he picked her up and dried her off, he changed her into some clean clothes and sat her in a chair in the living room. Richard managed to get her to drink some broth and tea and nibble on a little bit of toast. He told her that he’d made all the arrangements for Tony’s funeral and that she needed to be there to say her final goodbye. Vivienne nodded her agreement and told him that after the funeral, she wished to be put on temporary leave so that she could heal from all her losses. Three months passed with little contact to the outside world, her only companionship was Jervis and the occasional visitor she actually allowed in to the home that had been given to her, along with all of his fortune upon his death, by Tony. Her family visited occasionally, but it was hard to see them knowing that she’d lost not only the man she loved, but also their child. It wasn’t until Richard stopped by again, to inform her that she needed to come back to work even if from home, that she started to snap out of her depression. Vivienne worked another two months from home before coming back to work full-time at office of the Department of Mysteries. She threw herself into projects, working extremely long hours and she became comfortably numb. She no longer allowed herself to consider love or a family of her own as an option… and it worked. A year later, Vivienne seemed like her old self again. She was happy. She was horny and she had her flings. Her dedication to work quickly got her noticed and promoted. By the year 2001, Vivienne was the head of her own project, a potion to turn people invisible, that she’s still working on today to perfect. Around Valentine’s Day in 2002, Vivienne was alone in her laboratory working on her spell when the alarm went up to put up air filters over their mouths and noses. When the news circulated around the department about what exactly had been in the vial that broke, she immediately was rubbed the wrong way. She had had her soul mate and didn’t need to be told otherwise. However, when everyone who had been working that night was tested to see if they’d been infected, sure enough, Viv tested positive. Furious, at becoming a forced test-subject, she went back to work on her own potion and decided then and there to not change her lifestyle no matter what she was infected with. Misc. COMMON KNOWLEDGE: Vivienne enjoys casual relationships with both men and women, though she keeps it classy. She does gymnastics and dance as her forms of exercise. SECRETS: She can’t be around children ages 10 and under without thinking about the child she lost. PARTICIPATION: One of the First 100. SOUL MATE ATTRIBUTES: Vivienne’s Soul Mate would allow her to always grieve in a small part of her heart about the loss of her first love and their child. They’d never resent her for her past and would hopefully show her unconditional love. They need to be able to be serious, but still know when to let loose and have fun and encourage this behavior in her. They need to show her how to love again and be patient with her. PLOT IDEAS: Viv is going to make some headway on her invisibility potion and test it on herself. I see her getting stuck that way for a day before the potion wears off.
