Knowledge is power. The more you know about someone, the more power you have over them. She wants to know how many skeletons are in their closet - and don't even try to hide them from her because she has many ways to find out and she will. There is something about knowing she can make them fall into the deepest pit of hell that makes her smile every day.

Katharine has an alluring aura around her. Whether it is the way she looks or how she talks, she lures people in easily and helps her manipulate them. Katharine is a very manipulating person. She loves being able to hold the strings and make people do or say what she wants without them realizing.

Katharine is not against stabbing someone on the back if that gets her what she wants. Loyalty means absolutely nothing to her. She's not loyal to anyone but to herself. Why? She simply doesn't trust anyone. No one has ever done anything for her to make her think she could trust them, so why put all that blind faith into something that could bite you back? She'd rathe be the one doing the biting, if you ask her.

From her smile every morning to her manipulating words, everything is an act. A very well performed and calculated act. Kat is a great actress and knows exactly what do do and say to make people like her -- or to create chaos around her. But there is nothing sincere about Katharine. She doesn't see the point of being honest when lies and devious ways will get you further; in court and outside. Very few people get to enjoy a true smile from Kat, and even then you can never be sure if it's real or not.

Don't try to screw Katharine up because you'll get hurt. That won't be back stabbing. That will be 1st degree murder and she will walk free because she knows how to work things around to make you your own murderer. Kat will hold a grudge forever, even if she seems completely fine with that person; but deep down her evil and devious mind is working on a plan that will not only bring that person down, but give her great satisfaction. She will find every single skeleton in your close and put them out in display for everyone to see. And if you don't have any, she will make some up just for you.

Kat is quite envious. She'll do whatever is in her power to make sure that person she's jealous of gets the worst place in hell, simply because she got something that Kat didn't. And then she'll get whatever thing or position for herself. In her mind, she's the one who deserved it.

HISTORY

Eris has started many wars and fights, but the most famous one would have to be the Trojan War. And it all started with a wedding.

The goddesses Hera, Athena and Aphrodite had been invited along with the rest of Olympus to the wedding of Peleus and Thetis (parents of Achilles) but Eris hadn't been invited because of her troublemaking inclinations. This upset the goddess greately. So she came up with a plan. She tossed into the party the Apple of Discord, a golden apple with the words τῇ καλλίστῃ, "For the most beautiful one" or "To the Fairest One". She knew it would create a fight between the goddesses, and she couldn0t wait for the outcome.

Paris, Prince of Troy, was chosen by Zeus to select who should keep the apple. All three goddesses stripped naked before him and bribed him. Hera offered political power; Athena promised infinite wisdom; and Aphrodite tempted him with the most beautiful woman in the world: Helen, wife of Menelaus of Sparta. Paris, while tempted by power and wisdom, was a man after all and he chose the carnal bribe of Aphrodite.

That was the last step in starting one of the greatest war known to mankind.


MODERN HISTORY

Nowadays, in the city of Philadelphia, Eris lives as Katharine Doyle, a lawyer. One would guess there's not much sense for a lawyer to work when the world is destroyed and half of the population is gone. But mortals still need divorces and whatnot, and Katharine is extremely good at her job.

She was born in a wealthy family in New York City, not that it really mattered when God disappeared and Demons and Angels decided to make the world their own battlefield.

Money can buy you a lot of things, and luckily for her she had plenty from her parents. Katharine travelled from the destroyed city of New York to Philadelphia, where a lot of people found their safe haven, after her parents disappeared after a meeting with a Demon. She could only assume they were dead.

Lately, Katharine has been remembering things. Things from a past life that could only mean one thing, and she's very curious to know what that thing is.
