Whether it just be picking up a book that’s not school related, or memorizing random facts, or by any other means- he just likes it. Though he loves writing even more. He never complains about essays for homework, and one day he hopes to write for the Daily Prophet, though hopefully in their sports section as he is quite the Quidditch fan. He is a generally sweet and polite guy. He tries to never interrupt others, even if they’re on a rant, and would rather just let them finish venting instead. He considers himself to be a good listener because of this. He can listen to his friends' problems for long periods of time, but he tends to not necessarily be able to come up with great advice if they were to ask him. He is still quite introverted at times, and he doesn't particularly like spending long periods of time in loud groups. Even if it's just a group of friends, if things get too loud or crazy he will probably end up excusing himself from the group to go somewhere like the common room or the library and be alone for a while.  background PARENTS: Kevin Whitby and Audrey Hall (muggle) SIBLINGS: Sister, 7th year Gryffindor OTHER RELATIVES: None HISTORY: Audrey knew that Kevin was a Wizard almost from the start of their friendship. She had witnessed something strange happening, and after confronting him about it, he begrudgingly told her everything. He did warn her though that if she did not prove that she was trustworthy with the information, that there would be ways to erase it from her memory. She kept the secret, and the two started dating soon after. Audrey was pregnant with her first child when the two decided to get married in a small ceremony on the coast. About a year after their daughter was born, they had a son too, whom they named Ryan. Ryan was always a bit on the introverted side growing up. He generally preferred the company of books rather than going outside and playing with the other children in the neighborhood. His father took him to his first Quidditch game when he was 9, and though he had brought a book with him just in case, he found himself absolutely enthralled in the sport. It quickly became his second favorite thing. Going off to Hogwarts, Ryan was a bit unsure at what to expect. His sister had been sorted into Gryffindor and so part of him wanted to follow, though he didn’t think he would fit in very well. He drew back up into his shell a little bit and was worried that he wasn’t going to find anywhere to fit in at Hogwarts, and knowing that he was going to be suddenly living with several other students that he didn’t know made him feel a bit uneasy. The sorting hat had no problem sorting him into Ravenclaw, and after an uneasy first couple of weeks, he found himself settling in just fine. Though he has attended every Quidditch game since his first year, he didn’t have the courage to try out for the team until his fourth year.
