··& Born the youngest child of Amanda and Christopher Jacobs, she has shared her life with two older siblings. Her brother, Bailey (30), is a hot shot Hollywood actor. Her sister, Bryce (28), is an elementary school teacher. ··& She and her older sister share the same birthday only five years apart. ··& Graduated in 2008 from (FIT) the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York with both an Associates and a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. Was part of a two-year International Associates Degree program based in Florence, Italy. ··& During her final year at FIT, she worked as an intern at the hub of Elle magazine in Manhattan before landing the same internship at the LA branch. While she is no longer interested in the media and marketing end of fashion, she still finds the job a real eye opener onto the world she longs to be in. ··& Is multi-lingual. Speaks English, French (Yay, Canada!), and Italian. While her Italian isn't exactly 'fluent,' it was enough to get her through two years. ··& She has been obsessed with the Beatles since she was five years old. Orchid Ln. in Calabasas with her best friend, Jeni Warren. Oh! And Jeni's dog, Astor, who definitely likes her more. ··& At sixteen, she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. After months of chemo and radiation, the doctors decided it was best to remove her right ovary. Has been in remission since she was eighteen. ··& A few weeks after her five year check-up, she opted to have her left ovary removed more for her own mental comfort than anything else. It seemed the best option for her since she already knew she'd never be able to have children -- at least, not without a bit of medical magic. ··& Has a small scar behind her left ear where her brother hooked her on a fishing trip one summer. Has another scar on the bottom of her right foot from running over some shards of broken glass when she was five. And has a dime-sized, light brown birthmark on the back of her left knee. ··& Only recently bought a car, a bright red 2009 MazdaSpeed3. She used to stick to public transportation because she figured it's better for the environment, cheaper in the long run, and far more amusing than driving places alone. Unfortunately, public transportation isn't exactly safe at night for a single girl. So the car was the safer bet .. personally. ··& Her favorite author is L. M. Montgomery. She's been in love with the entire 'Anne Shirley' set of books since she was about 7. Adores the movie adaptations that were filmed in Nova Scotia and watches them whenever she has the time. Thinks that Gilbert Blythe is the ideal man. ··& Her favorite clothing designers include Roberto Cavalli, Nina Ricci, Sweetpea, and Michael Kors. And her favorite shoe designers include Patrick Cox (Go Canada!), Jimmy Choo, Prada, and Nanette Lepore. Definitely has her own style and loves to show it off. ··& Thanks to her older brother, she's a total movie whore. She'll watch just about any type of movie. She prefers the older stuff. Maybe not the typical classics like 'Gone with the Wind' or 'Casablanca' so much as other things like 'Cinderfella,' 'Beach Blanket Bingo,' and 'Calamity Jane.' Thinks Doris Day was gorgeous and amazing in her day. Loves cheesy horror movies but thinks the Saw series is crap. And can quote almost every movie made in the 80's (or at least the ones that were worth watching). ··& Has a set of King's dog tags that she wears around her neck all the time. When he found out that he was leaving on a mission, he gave them to her. He also gave her his daughter, Kayla, who was only ten months old at the time. She was named Kayla's legal guardian should anything happen to him while he was gone. Thankfully, he has since returned safely, except for the gunshot wound to his knee. ··& Her brother once tried to teach her how to make a cake which she completely ruined by using baking soda instead of baking powder. Thanks to that whole fiasco, she was kind of afraid to try cooking anything else. However, she recently started taking 'lessons' from King and is really enjoying her time in the kitchen. She's even tried making a few things on her own. ··& Likes to do the New York Times Crossword Puzzle in her spare time. ··& January 6th, 2009, Kingston Pennington proposed to her .. for the second time. It was the proper way to do it, having asked her best friend and her brother for permission before showing up with a ring. But really? When anyone asks her how she got engaged, she'll look back on the first proposal in the wee hours of the morning just two days before when he kissed her and leaned to whisper softly in her ear 'marry me.' ··& Rescued a German Shepard puppy named Brodie from a dog shelter in Newport Beach. Also has a Dalmation puppy named Anne that she got as a gift from her husband. ··& While they had scheduled their wedding to be on June 6th, the shock of a car accident made both she and King realize that they didn't want to wait anymore. The two were married at a midnight service on March 11th, 2009, with their family and a handful of friends present. While it wasn't the huge wedding they were initially going for, she still got to wear her dress, they still got to be married on the bridge at the Japanese Gardens, and they even shared their first dance as man and wife at the surprise reception that King planned for her. ··& Legally adopted her step-daughter, Kayla, a few months after marrying Kingston. She absolutely loves her little family and wanted nothing more than to add to it. Thankfully, after suffering a miscarriage and a few failed attempts at in vitro fertilization, she and King were able to get pregnant with a child of their own. And at 12 AM on January 7th, 2011, they welcomed their son, Blythe Declan Pennington, into the world.
