PERSONALITY.. positive traits: Modest, artistic, hard-working, a surprisingly good cook negative traits: holds grudges, pessimistic, self-deprecating, angry strengths: art, cooking, putting on a front weaknesses: anger problems, issues with self-control, can’t move on from the past, projection of anger on to others not involved morality: His vengeful side leans him more toward evil. summary: Chris was a much different person when he left Kansas City, and his return may surprise a few people. He has become much less cheerful, less spontaneous, fun-loving. He has become much more withdrawn and introspective and spends more time with his art than he did previously as it is a source of catharsis for him. Despite his change in demeanor, on the surface, Chris seems like a fairly normal teenager who went through a bit of a rough time. He is not always so down-trodden and can toss in a bit of sarcastic humor here and there when called upon. He may not be as charming as he used to be, but he isn’t a complete failure with women, either. Below the face he shows to the public, however, is something much darker. Chris’s stay in the facility was not a pleasant one and the experiments along with the mishaps with his own abilities have changed him for the worse. He is angry- angry at his father and the rest of his family, angry at the system that failed him, angry with God. He doesn’t understand why things happened to him and not to anyone else and is furious that he was somehow more deserving of the pain than others. While Chris does his best to keep that hidden from the community, including his therapist, it doesn’t take as much as he would like to scrape the surface. People are likely to find that out the hard way. HISTORY.. family: Daniel Jones (father), Marsha Jones (mother), Macy Jones (adopted sister, 23) favorite memory: When he first felt he belonged with his family. least favorite memory: The first night after being committed. brief summary: The Joneses found themselves unable to conceive, so after adopting their first child, Macy, they opted to adopt a second. Chris found it slightly more difficult to adapt to their family lifestyle than did Macy, but eventually, the family found its rhythm, and Chris went on to lead a relatively happy life. He did well in high school and went on to college where he decided to double major in art and advertising. He would go on to meet Dawn Miller in one of his fine arts classes. Although she was a year older, the two began dating, and Chris found himself enjoying his college experience. Unfortunately, his powers began to develop in his sophomore year after being exposed to a chemical spill. The spill left him with a large scar on his side, but more importantly it gave him the power of cryptokinesis. Unfortunately, Chris was unaware of this ability and his uncontrolled abilities were taken as hallucinations. When they became especially severe, he agreed with his family's choice to have him committed. But in the facility, his illusions became much worse. The antipsychotics made him lose control and his illusions began affecting others in the facility. Unknown to Chris, his psychiatrist had a strong anti-mutant bias and spent months trying to 'cure' him of his ability before the other staff members caught on. He was removed from his position, and once Chris could be weaned off of his meds, he was released and allowed to return to school with a clean bill of health. RANDOM.. quirks: Can't stay still- though usually his movements are small and not niceable- drumming his fingers, bouncing his legs. cross to bear: Dealing with the stigma of mental illness and his anger. biggest fear: Returning to the asylum. pet peeves: People using the term 'crazy' or 'insane' lightly. likes: charcoal sketches, visiting the beach, trying new recipes dislikes: nightmares, being asked about his father, going to therapy |
