As a prefect, I try to keep an open mind about first years. I know how hard it was to come here, away from my family and friends, and try to learn the ropes. Fending for yourself is never easy, after all. However, I can't seem to find a way to excuse some of the behavior I saw on my way to breakfast. Especially since some of that behavior resulted in a sort of sticky substance being vaulted from one of the corridors and landing in my hair and on the front of my school robes. I heard one shout about me taking them off right there in the hall laughter and scrambling feet, but luckily was able to catch them as they fled. I still had to go through most of my morning classes looking like a slob before I could slip away back to my room to change.
Needless to say, they were properly punished. Even though my mood is ruined |

As I was in the middle of writing about how happy I am to be back, I looked in the pages and see such sad and shameful things written about our classmates. It's truly disheartening, but I am not going to waste more energy giving whoever you are the attention you so obviously want. You know you should be ashamed of yourself. You have to live with it.
Now that I've finished with that, I will say that I hope everyone enjoyed their break. I am truly excited to be back, as nerdy as that sounds. There's just something about the start of a new school year that's invigorating, I think. |
