Re: 🤭👍🏻
"Your mission was to map the red and report back."
Haksoo stopped directly in front of Jaeseong, a little impressed the kid was still standing his ground. When jaeseong hadn't returned with hawthorn and a few other exhausted members of the group, Chen had been pissed off. Haksoo knew how deeply Wang li cared for his children, and soldiers, even if he was bad at showing it at times.
"Chen wants you back at the base. Forget about the Leemans, there's no time."
There was a sudden rumbling from below as the ground around them began to shake. Haksoo cursed and grabbed hold of Jaeseong, making sure that neither lost their balance and pulling him under the safety of the bridge as the quake went on. Getting him back was the top priority and while the kid was a shit, haksoo was still going to try and get him back in one piece. Luckily the bridge the team had decided to take cover underneath was holding stable, though the same couldn't be said for the rest of the city. Car alarms blared in the distance, windows broke, several signs and power lines collapsed onto the streets and sparks urupted from some of the down wires that still held power going to them. As the shaking came to a stop, several of the flares haksoos team had setup along their path shot into the sky, the bright red streaks a glaring warning. Haksoo knew quake itself wouldn't have set them off. Had a path opened up now to the undead over there too? He let go of Jaeseong and was about to check on the rest of their team when a huge explosion had him stumbling to catch his balance. Rather than return to cover, he moved further out onto the street to see several buildings having erupted into fire.
"Well, this just went from bad to worse. "
Haksoo grabbed the radio from his belt and switched it to the channel he had told Alison. Getting them more involved would be trouble, but he hoped they would be alright and able to help.
"hey Ali, if you're alive, tell me you have some bird shifter in your group that can take a look around and tell us what the hell just happened."
he went to each member of his team while he waited for a response, checking that they were okay and relieved to only see a few cuts and scrapes.
