This was lovely and happy and left me with such a warm feeling. A wedding may not have been right for them, but they’re still married in all the ways that matter, and the non-wedding wearing of rings is the perfect scenario for them.

This was beautiful, and I could visualize this so clearly:

He looks me in the eye. “It's not true, you know. I would have married you, but I don't think it's what you wanted.” His grip on my back tightens a little.

I shake my head, looking away, “Brian...”

And I could absolutely see Brian saying this to Justin:

“We don't need them Justin, but maybe I want them.”

This story gives us an emotionally open Brian in a way that I think fits perfectly with the real and lasting changes we saw him undergo post-bombing. Thank you for this joyful little glimpse into their future!
