Because Jilli inspires me as the young tend to do, I decided to take her advice and make a bucket list of my own. I find it really hard to think outside the box anymore. I have for a very long time .. ever since Jess died. And it's been hard for me to even admit that I still carry her with me everywhere, that I'm still holding on to the past. But, anyway .. that proved to be a starting point for my list. So .. here it is :

1. Learn to say goodbye.
2. Go on a blind date.
3. Run a marathon.
4. Learn sign language.
5. See an opera.
6. Ride in a hot air balloon.
7. Take fencing lessons.
8. Go bungee jumping.
9. Visit the Amazon Rainforest.
10. Run with the Bulls in Pamplona.
11. Celebrate New Year's in Times Square.
12. See all 50 of the United States.
13. Go back to school.
14. Paint a mural on a wall.
15. Visit the observatory at Griffith Park.
16. Get lost in the desert.
17. Visit the Playboy Bunny Mansion.
18. Get into the Guinness Book of World Records.
19. Volunteer at a homeless shelter.
20. Spend more time with my family.
21. Audition at an open casting call.
22. Own a Ducati.
23. Allow myself to fall in love again.
24. Milk a cow.
25. Go to a World Series game.
26. Shake hands with the President.
27. Learn how to fly a plane.
28. Be ridiculous.
29. Visit the wreckage of the Titanic in a submarine.
30. Go to Australia.
31. Be on a gameshow.
32. Crowd surf at a concert.
33. Volunteer at a school for disabled children.
34. Buy a one-way ticket and travel without itinerary.
35. Visit the Holocaust Museum.
36. Save someone's life.
37. Make a fool of myself in public and have the guts to laugh about it.
38. Attend the Burning Man festival.
39. Sleep in a hammock.
40. Quit smoking.
41. Drive a race car.
42. Visit the ruins of Pompeii.
43. Build a house with Habitat for Humanity.
44. Take a trip through the Panama Canal on a ship.
45. Sit in on a taping of Saturday Night Live.
46. Go rollerblading at the beach.
47. Buy a sailboat and go sailing for a month.
48. Have an entire conversation in a language other than English.
49. Learn to play the guitar.
50. Go to a Comic-Con.
51. Get in a bar fight.
52. Take a tour of a recycling plant.
53. Don't drive for a month -- take the bus or ride a bike.
54. Try speed dating.
55. See the Northern Lights.
56. Go to Falling Waters in Pennsylvania with my brother.
57. Learn how to bartend like Tom Cruise in 'Cocktail.'
58. Try being a vegetarian for a week.
59. Get a gym membership and actually use it.
60. Live long enough to see my daughter graduate.

So, you and Lyric are going to teach me sign language?

'Be ridiculous' is more of an ongoing thing. Reminding myself to loosen up and not be so serious all the time. 'Make a fool of myself in public' could probably be crossed off the list but I was thinking more like .. break dancing in the middle of the street or falling on my ass in front of a ton of strangers.

And yes, you can go.

Sure! We're pretty good at it. :)

I didn't notice the vegetarian thing, so you can add THAT to the list of things I can help with too!

Haha. You break dance in the middle of the street and Jilli wants a dance-off with a stranger. I don't think I could make my list nearly as entertaining.
