Yesterday morning my only worries were making sure my friends were okay as a result of the love potion madness. Today, my worries are compounded by my Auntie being in hospital.

When I found out about it, for a minute, I was so scared. I was afraid I was going to lose her all over again and I just... couldn't... I had to make sure Aunt Sally couldn't tell I was crying. All those emotions that came when she died at home came back and it made me think that I need to tell the people I care about here that I do. Including the ones that don't know yet.

Are you okay? I'm sorry for all the drama that went on. I knew you didn't do anything and you were a victim of the potion too. Let me know if you need anything. Actually, if you'd like, we should go out and do something later, maybe a walk or run or... well, anything. I need to blow off some steam.

I know you know that at home, Auntie Amelia died before my seventh year. That was just a few weeks before I came here. Hearing about her being injured really shook me. I was afraid I was going to lose her all over again. I don't know if I can go through that again.

Also, Jasper and I were seeing each other before I came. He doesn't know this and I'm about to tell him but I'm afraid I'm going to be losing a friend too. It's worrisome to me to tell him but I know he deserves the truth.

I'm just scared of all these what ifs. I don't know. Usually Auntie Amelia is the person I go to with all this, but seeing as how she's currently preoccupied... I thought a different set of eyes and ears would be better.

I can only imagine hearing about Amelia woke all those feelings again. It is normal and I am so glad you won't go through it. The thing is, Susan, we all lose people in our lives. I lost nearly everyone by the time I hit 30...parents, my best friends, many other close friends...I was afraid to let anyone in, but that isn't what any of them would want. A lovely woman taught me that. Harry taught me that too. So even though I was afraid of losing more people? I took the risk and it was worth it. This village is a gift. Oh, it is hard, my dear, but a gift all the same. You can be with your family and ask them questions now that you may not in the other world. You can create new lives with those who care too.

Ah, Jasper? I am glad he had someone like you. I do not know how he'll react, but I am sure he'll appreciate the honesty. And, Susan? You are an incredible young woman. He noticed it once, he'll notice it again even if he isn't ready for something more here.

The "what ifs" will kill us before our time, Susan. I died young, but I don't regret my later choices. Live without regret, sweetheart, because none of us are guaranteed a tomorrow.

I am well aware more than anyone that we lose people. I lost Uncle Eddie and Aunt Sally before I could remember them and then I lost Auntie Amelia. I lost my cousins, too. I try not to let that affect the relationships I make but there are days when it is hard.

Yes. I'm sure he'll probably not believe me and then not want to talk to me because it will be awkward, and the weird thing is that I miss him. But he went ballistic when he heard about his death and got on people's cases for not telling Myrtle about hers, so, yes, he needs to know, at least for his own sake and not necessarily mine. People keep telling me the same thing but I don't see how someone like me falls under the category of incredible.

Thanks, Professor. You knew what I needed to hear. (Sorry, I still can't bring myself to call you Remus yet!)
