I can only imagine hearing about Amelia woke all those feelings again. It is normal and I am so glad you won't go through it. The thing is, Susan, we all lose people in our lives. I lost nearly everyone by the time I hit 30...parents, my best friends, many other close friends...I was afraid to let anyone in, but that isn't what any of them would want. A lovely woman taught me that. Harry taught me that too. So even though I was afraid of losing more people? I took the risk and it was worth it. This village is a gift. Oh, it is hard, my dear, but a gift all the same. You can be with your family and ask them questions now that you may not in the other world. You can create new lives with those who care too.
Ah, Jasper? I am glad he had someone like you. I do not know how he'll react, but I am sure he'll appreciate the honesty. And, Susan? You are an incredible young woman. He noticed it once, he'll notice it again even if he isn't ready for something more here.
The "what ifs" will kill us before our time, Susan. I died young, but I don't regret my later choices. Live without regret, sweetheart, because none of us are guaranteed a tomorrow.
