Not that I don't love my job, but after several weeks of trekking down and locating this plant Angar's Tongue, which actually turned out to be surprisingly more sticky than anticipated, I am ready to go home and just enjoy a nice, long, hot bath.

Samples are all readily packed and preserved, so as soon as the rest of the expedition team gets going and gets these back to the lab, I'm home free!

Speaking of home - Serena, I do hope everything's gone well since I've been gone. It wasn't supposed to be quite this long, but the navigator made us take one wrong turn and well, we weren't terribly pleased about it either.

Mandy! It's good to hear from you! : )

I wondered why I hadn't seen you around lately, but I guess I should have known it was because you were away for work. Hurry back so we can hang out! Oh, and stay safe out there in the wilderness. : P

Ali! How have you been?

Of course, it's always work, but I should get a nice little break for a bit before another expedition goes through. We can catch up then. Oh, you're like David and worry too much, I'll be fine!

Oh, about the same. : )

Sounds great! I can't wait to hear about that... sticky plant thing you found. Angar's Tongue or whatever, haha. Who named that, by the way? Does it really look like a tongue?

A bloke named Allard Balstow discovered it. It looks like a serpent's tongue, if a serpent had sticky tendrils coming off it's sides.

P.S. If you see a redhead in our kitchen, don't worry - he's part of the story I have to tell you ;D
