Word from China that Xi Wang's health is not good. She has been losing weight quite rapidly and isn't holding food down at all. It's really heartbreaking to hear such news and not be able to be there to try to help with my own two hands.

Keep her in your thoughts, will you?

How long's the vomiting been going on? What are the other symptoms, aside from the weight issues? Temperament? It's such a strange case. Encouraging, on one hand, that she's made it so long. She's obviously resilient, but... I'm just hesitant to consider any ideas without actually having a look at her, you know?

Yeah. Absolutely. When is she going? I have some book stuff to do, but it's nothing that can't wait. It's waited this long, and it'll still be there when I get back. Plus, I have an assistant now, so it might give her a chance to make some headway organizationally without me hovering. I tend to do that.

Yeah. It is unreal to think about how quickly things are starting to look like that again. And terrifying. But no, I know what you mean. It doesn't seem right. Especially if there is something that can be done. Not everyone has that luxury. Or opportunity. I don't think luxury is quite accurate.

A few weeks. They should have told me sooner. She's lethargic, but that could be related to fatigue. I suppose it is encouraging that she's made it so long. But it's also quite terrifying. She was the first infant dragon to survive birth in more than a year.

This week. As soon as possible, really. I am hoping Roger will give me a few days leave, but I don't know if I can make that happen. Even if I do go, would you care to go along? I could use a fresh opinion.

They really should have. You don't mess with that sort of thing, especially considering she's had a persistent condition. We'll all do what we can to make sure she continues to survive.

Yes, I can do that. Honestly I'd be glad of the chance to get a look at what's actually going on. There's only so much second-hand accounts can tell a person. Just let me know. I can rework anything I might have planned.

Believe me, neither do I. I can't remember the last time I've dreaded the daily paper delivery so often.

	They're Chinese, though. I'm not sure they understood the importance of the situation. At least, not in regards to the rest of the world. Rolf Thank you so much. Friends It's a shame, really. Not a problem at all. Even if the situation's far from good, it'll be nice to be working on something like this again for a bit. I've never been to China. And hopefully between the two or three of us we'll be able to fix this.
