ABILITIES AND SKILLS
MUTANT ABILITIES→Mind Control; The ability to control the mind of another human being or mutant. Mischa can completely control the minds of around 50-100 people at once for several hours continuously, though more frequently he implants suggestions, ideas, or commands into the mind of another person that last until the action is completed. It is possible for the control to be fought off either by a very strong-willed mind, psychic intervention, or physical intervention by a person not under the influence. Ideas and suggestions can be countered by logic or discussion from people not under control, and are easier to throw off than a direct command.
→Mind Possession; The ability to possess someone else's mind entirely, and thus control their physical body. This can only be performed on up to five people at a time for an hour without potentially damaging Mischa's own body and brain permanently. He can, however, take control of a single person's mind and body for several days as long as someone is protecting his own body. The less he's controlling, the longer he can control them. Too long and he can permanently lose the connection to his own body, resulting in madness, coma, or death.
→Telepathy; The ability to read minds. Unlike most telepaths, Mischa cannot speak telepathically to others - this is a one-way street. He can hear the thoughts of anyone within 50 feet of him, typically only surface thoughts. It takes eye contact (and even better with physical contact) to read deeper thoughts.
→Hypnotic Charm; This may not even be a real ability, but people around Mischa just feel... at ease. He's naturally charismatic, seems unassuming and doesn't raise many - if any - alarm bells for people. People believe what he says easier than they might if someone else said them. This wears off the longer someone has known Mischa. Anyone who has known Mischa more than as a passing acquaintance is unaffected.

→ Weapons; Mischa was trained on how to use several common firearms and knives useful for combat situations.
→ Hand-to-Hand; As with the weapon training, Mischa also received training via his family's mob connections to be efficient in close-quarters/hand-to-hand combat.

A tall, handsome dude. Mischa prefers to dress sharply and expensively whenever the locale even remotely calls for it. He's always well put together, dressing more on the preppy side of things. Not at all what you might first think of when you think "Russian Mobster" Heck, not even what you think when you think "Baker" either. He's got a relaxed style as well, though it's still well put together. On rare occasion, he can be seen in sweats and puffy jackets when he goes for his morning runs.

PERSONALITY
The saying is; There are two sides to every coin. That is absolutely true with Mischa. He has two very different personalities - first and foremost, there's Mischa the people person, politician, diplomat. He's kind and caring, portrays someone at ease and confident in themselves and their decisions. Smart, talented, and in control. He can be fun and spontaneous while always maintaining that cool air of confidence bordering on arrogance. He's responsible, dependable, honest, and direct. He's always got a plan but not inflexible or unable to be spontaneous. Mischa dabbles in everything so he's a bit of a jack-of-all-trades.On the opposite end of the spectrum, Mischa is stubborn, insensitive, judgemental, and can be unreasonable. He is not swayed by emotional plights, he's ruled and run by facts. He's violent, angry, and has no will to be truly empathetic towards the vast majority of the world. He's an incredible actor and can feign interest in even the most mundane of things, but he has zero actual need for human connection - or so he thinks. He's driven by self-centered motivations and sees everything very large scale. He doesn't care who he has to step on to get there, either. He's not morally gray - he has no morals, not really. They're social constructs, anyway, and it's a dog-eat-dog world. He is adamant that he be the last man standing. There's no room for compromise and above all else, he is always, always right.
Family is just about the only thing truly important to him. He has a fierce love for his parents and his siblings. He's protective, kind, and truly caring and compassionate with them. It's quite possible he lacks the capability of being empathetic, but he can view things from his perspective and how that might make him feel well enough to show sympathy towards his siblings. He is extremely respectful of his family and of people he feels deserves his respect, and he's a man who sticks to his word. If he promises you something (and means it), he will do it.

Mischa Markova was the first born son to Nikolay and Irina Markova. A younger brother and then a sister were soon to follow, and Mischa was expected to play the older brother to the fullest. It was his responsibility to take care of them - a job he took very seriously. He wanted for nothing materially, and he was given full reign to pursue whatever he wanted - even if that was cooking and (much to his father's dismay) baking.

He was quite young when he was introduced to the family business, stumbling upon some hints and clues when he was just ten or eleven, and fully introduced by thirteen. Around the same time, Mischa learned what he could do. For some time it just seemed like he was a natural born leader - and it really only got strange when kids started doing just about anything he asked them to. As a kid, though not long lasting, his ability to control the minds of others was strong. Kids minds' are easy - they don't question much, and if his father's right-hand man had not felt Mischa's attempt at mind controlling him (albeit on accident), Mischa might have accidentally harmed someone. Once his abilities were revealed, though, Nikolay was quick to bring someone in to train him up.

At not even sixteen, Mischa joined his father in their 'family business.' They dabbled in all sorts of nefarious things - drugs, illegal weapons trading, whatever black market things they could get their hands on. Mischa was there to be the enforcer. No one could chicken out, no one could lie, no one could abandon. If someone needed to be taken out, he'd make them more compliant. These things never seemed to bother him at all, quite the opposite - violence, pain, nothing made Mischa squirm. This, maybe, should have worried his parents, but as the eldest, they were glad to have someone so capable looking out after the two younger ones.If only he'd been there - several years older than either of his siblings, his younger brother was just sixteen when his involvement with their family's real business reared its ugly head. He was caught and worse - had been shot. While he was not there, Mischa heard about it immediately and forced the whole story out of anyone who had been near, anyone who had witnessed. He had not been fast enough to dispose of witnesses and he couldn't mess with memory - there was nothing he could do, his brother was going to jail and he had failed him. This, more than anything, negatively affected Mischa. He cut himself off from everyone for a while, working hard to make himself a stronger, more capable member of the mafia.
Fast forward several years in Russia doing what he did best - being the front man, the enforcer, and the intel man for his father and Mischa started to find the business in Russia boring. His sister had already left for America at this point, and Mischa started setting up and expanding their business into the states. It was during one such visit for storefronts that a high ranking member of Chrysalis found Mischa - and what better way was there for Mischa to ensure his own future, survival, and put his talents to use than to join the underground revolution? Straying farther from the family business had never been his plan, but Chrysalis tempted him. He spent the next few years gathering intel for them before buying up a business in NYC as a front for his real work with Chrysalis in the Network - continuing to run drugs, money, and weapons through the bakery.With his talents growing stronger, it was a logical step to pair him with the other Horsemen to wreak havoc on New York, and Mischa was only too willing to accept. Now, he works hand-in-hand with other members of Chrysalis to make big moves towards securing their future.
