I feel like I haven't seen my husband in weeks. I mean, I see him every day, but I still feel like I haven't really seen him. It's strange because there are times where I feel like we were around each other more when I was working a full-time job than we are now that I work from home. His schedule has just been so crazy lately that we haven't had time for much of anything .. despite valiant efforts.

A couple of weeks ago, I set up a little romantic picnic in the backyard because I missed him and I wanted him to know that. I wanted to show him how much he meant to me. Granted, it was a pretty simple thing to toss together .. just some sandwiches and some champagne .. a blanket outback on the ground .. candles and soft lighting upstairs in our room. Just really simple stuff. And, well, it seemed to all go to waste because when he got home, he was just so tired that he wasn't even interested in eating any dinner. Not that I minded just snuggling with him in the backyard or anything. I definitely didn't mind at all. I .. well, I guess I really shouldn't complain about his disinterest when he's tired. I know when I'm tired, I don't want to be bothered with romantic intentions. I just want to crawl in bed and sleep. Which seems to be all we ever do now.

Whatever. The LA premiere of Harry Potter was the other day. I've been scouring the tabloid pages to try and find a picture to post up of Melodi in the dress I made for her, but I can't seem to find any good ones just yet. She looked absolutely adorable though!!! The belly was almost completely hidden. It's a shame that her boyfriend didn't walk the carpet with her. They look so cute together. He's super protective of her these days .. or at least that's the opinion I got when I stopped by their house for the final fitting. Which, okay, it makes sense. I think they said she was six, almost seven months pregnant now. Insane!

Oh! I made a complete disaster of the kitchen the other day when I tried to make brownies and failed .. entirely! I'm still just learning, of course, but I wanted to make the damn things without having to ask anybody. Thankfully, I got everything cleaned up before King got back and the smell of burnt chocolate had aired out .. so all he got was the story afterwards, instead of being able to make fun of the actual mistake. Not that he'd really make fun of me for it or anything. Or, well, I don't think he would. ... He damn well better not!!!
