I spoke with the doctor today. He answered all my questions farely well and explained what I'd be going through afterwards, what I can expect to deal with. Yeah, it all seems a little risky and I'm not sure that I'm ready to deal with everything. But I need to do this.

My surgery is set for next Wednesday. I have to be at Cedars-Sinai by 9 am for a loosely scheduled OR time of 10:30. It could really be any time that day, though. I'll be in the hospital three days afterwards before they release me. The doctor says I'll probably be really sore and that I should take some vacation time from work. Since I'm an intern, I don't really get vacation time. So hopefully they won't try and fire me or anything if I'm gone for two or three weeks.

I'm definitely a little nervous about it, but I think this is for the best.
