While I was under house arrest last week, I nearly missed the entire LA Fashion Week. Which is terrible! Thankfully, I got free just in time to go to some shows last night. I got the call from my boss at Elle about the shows at BoxEight last night -- Rojos and Kucoon. I happened to be at King's at the time, finishing up on a dinner that didn't turn out as bad as I thought it would .. considering that I was the one that made it. Or, okay, he made it but I did help out with some stuff!
Since I was already hanging out with him, I offered up the second ticket to him .. or, rather, I told him he was going to keep me company whether he wanted to or not. And he agreed. Sorry, J! I know I usually take you to this stuff, but if I'd taken the time to come back home to get you, I'd have missed the first half of the Rojos show which was .. phenomenal!
Today, I wandered to CMC for one of the last days of the LA Fashion Market. Today and tomorrow are the end of it. Then the Textile Show starts, which I'm hoping to get to go to. But we'll see.
Now, I'm going to sit down and watch 'Anne of Green Gables' because I'm a dork like that. And Gilbert Blythe is like .. the end all, be all of men. He's not exactly hot, but he's that .. adorable, good guy type. And come on! He and Anne are just too cute together. Constantly fighting with each other, being all competitive. Not to mention the fact that in 'Anne of Avonlea,' he's like .. the most dapper doctor ever. (Sorry King, you so got beat!) But whatever .. blame Canadian programming for my love of Anne Shirley and the adorable Gilbert Blythe.
