I haven't really updated this thing in awhile because .. well, because I've had better things to do than sit at my computer and type up some stupid entry. But since I have the day off, Kayla is taking a nap, and my husband is at work, I figure I've got the time to waste now.
It's been two weeks since we got married. Two weeks. It's hard to believe that I'm actually someone's wife and that I love being that. Cheesy, I know. But I never really thought about getting married. Sure, like every little girl, I had my fantasies about my future wedding and the man that I'd marry but .. I never really thought it would happen. I never thought anybody would want to marry me.
We basically eloped .. without the running away, like I told Carr. We were planning the wedding for June 6th. We were about to order the invitations. We had the place booked. Everything was set. But .. neither of us wanted to wait. It was just like .. this sudden revelation. Neither of us needed or wanted this huge wedding. The only thing that mattered was that we were going to be together. And it was beautiful. I couldn't have asked for anything better, anything nicer.
Going through all the crap to have my name changed was a bitch. Since I'm not a US Citizen, I had to go through a bunch of hoops and my Mom had to mail me my birth certificate so I could send paperwork back up to Canada. Then when they sent me the new stuff, I had to go to the courts and get my paperwork here changed. But everything is finally fixed and I got my new license last week that says Blake Pennington on it. And I totally like giggled when they handed it to me at the DMV. Seriously.
I am just .. I can't imagine being any happier. And I'm sure that everyone is so tired of all the sappy crap that I've been writing. But you can all just suck it up. I'm a newlywed. I'm supposed to be sappy!
Also? Totally going to Cancun on my honeymoon!! Wow .. that rhymed.
