Greetings, my lovelies! It's so nice to be back again! First, I'd like to apologize for taking off so suddenly without a word to even my teams. I had to return home in order to assist my father in transitioning from this plane into the next. It was a very difficult time and, I will admit, I wasn't giving much thought to this place while I was away. I am glad, however, to have had the opportunity to spend the last several months of his life with him and ensure that he was as comfortable as possible in moving on. And now that that is done, I am ready to move forward with my life. I would just like to thank the FCU administration for being so understanding throughout all of this.

So, soccer ladies... I want to thank you for finishing out the season so strong. I am sure you are all enjoying a break from all of that right now, but I am definitely looking forward to rocking it out again next season.

Track ladies... I've had a chance to review what's been going on so far this season, and I want to thank you all for your hard work. I'm grateful to the other members of the coaching staff for stepping up to help you all out while I've been away and am looking forward to getting involves with you as soon as possible, thought I will be taking on more of an observatory role for the next little while.

Since fairly soon you're all going to be seeing me waddling around campus looking like I might have swallowed one of those soccer balls, so I'm just going to put this out there before that happens; Yes, I'm pregnant. I'm around 30 weeks along and due towards the latter part of July so.. Don't expect me to be terribly active even in my fitness classes. I appreciate your understanding when it comes to that in advance.

This brings me to my next point of interest for any Omegas who may be reading. I am looking for one or two of you who wouldn't mind being claimed who could help me out with things around the apartment, like cooking and cleaning and such, and would possibly be available for assisting during some of my classes or with some of my coaching duties, and maybe wouldn't feel terribly imposed upon if I were to ask you to go pick up some random item I'm craving from the store or maybe even rub my back or feet. If this sounds like anything that would be of interest to any of you, feel free to comment here or you can just email me if you'd like a dfairfax@fcu.edu. I could really use a bit of help now and possibly even after the baby is born.

So I do believe I have rambled enough for now. If you've made it this far, thanks for taking the time to read this. I appreciate it. Again, I am very glad to be back. These last few months have been very trying and I'm just glad to have something a bit more positive, like this place, to focus on.

First of all, I'd like to give a quick shout out to our Men's soccer team for their epic 8-0 win over Seton Hall yesterday. I wished that I could have been there to see the game and lend you my support, but I had to be in PA for a track and field event.

That leads me to my second comment. Congrats to the Women's Track and Field for their awesome performance at the Paul Short Invitational! We placed 1st out of 47 which is amazing! The Men's team didn't do too shabby either with a 3rd in 47 finish. Great job!

And today, the Women's Soccer team showed Providence who's boss with a 2-1 win that was hard fought but well deserved. We don't have another game until next Sunday when we head to Milwaukee, but that doesn't mean you ladies need to get lazy on me. I want you to enjoy your week of having only one game but be sure and keep yourselves focused and motivated so we can kick butt next weekend as well. We only have five more games this season, ladies. I'd love to end the season undefeated.

Phew! What a long day! And we still have a flight back to DC to make tonight before any of us can crash. But at least we'll be celebrating. That's right! We won. As if there was every any doubt. FCU 3 and Butler 0. Great job, girls. Now we get a break until Sunday when we head up to Providence, RI to show The Friars who's boss.!

Congratulations, guys, on your 1-0 win against American University today! It was a great game. And to take the win with an off corner kick at the tail end of the second half like that? Impressive! I look forward to seeing what you guys bring to the table the rest of this season.

Soccer girls, enjoy your Tuesday off. I'm going to go stuff my face and see the town in celebration of the start of my 33rd year on this earth. I'll see you all tomorrow night instead so that we'll be ready for our game on Thursday against Butler.

7 to 1!!! Now that's what I call, pardon my language, a real ass whipping! Girls, you were brilliant today! Absolutely brilliant! I couldn't possibly be any more proud of you all than I am right now at this moment. Way to get out there and hustle. Those Xavier girls didn't have a snowball's chance in Hell of pulling out a win today. They're lucky they even got a single point out there with you beasts on that field! Very, very good job!

And for those of you who missed the game today? Well, it's your loss. That was an incredible game. And for those of you who were fortunate enough to be there? We thank you for your support. You were an amazing crowd to play for.

Go Spartans!
