So, soccer girls, not a bad job yesterday finishing up tied 1 to 1 after two periods of OT. Granted, it wasn't a win, but it wasn't a loss either. DPU's goalie was a beast, but you guys gave it your best shot at trying to wear her down so you could get some goals in. It was an experience we can learn from and apply to future games.

Now it's time to be focusing on our game coming up on Sunday against Xavier. Since we don't have an official practice between now and then, I'm going to call an unofficial practice for Saturday morning from 9am to 11am. We'll meet in the locker room first where we'll watch some highlights from yesterday's game to see where we can make improvements and then head out to the pitch for an hour of drills. Since it's gonna be an early one on one of your usual days off, I'll bring us all some breakfast. On Sunday, we'll meet on the field at 11:30 to warm up for the game at 1.

That means, fellow staff and FCU students, if you missed yesterday's game, or even if you didn't, you have another chance to watch the Spartan girls kick some soccer butt with a home field advantage on Sunday! I hope to see you all out there and the stands packed.

And don't forget that our Spartan boys will be on the pitch squaring off against Creighton at 1pm on Saturday, so let's all head down for that game as well and show our support. Girls, I especially want you all to attend if at all possible.

And that's it from me for today! I hope to see you all on the pitch soon!

Hey everybody, don't forget that the women's soccer team is going up against DePaul today at 3pm on our home field in our FIRST conference game of the season!

So far this season, the girls are undefeated with only one tied game out of nine putting us at 8-0-1 for the season so far. Pretty impressive, huh? But DePaul isn't doing too bad this year either with a 6-1-1 for their season so far. They're a strong team too, so I can guarantee there is going to be some exciting soccer action at today's game.

So gather up some friends, come on down to the field, and enjoy an afternoon out in the sun while cheering on your fellow Spartans! It's going to be a blast.

Good morning Falls Church University! My name is Devyn Fairfax and I'm very excited to be here as a new addition to the FCU faculty.

To tell you all a little bit about me, I earned my BA in Kinesiology with an emphasis on Physical Education Teaching and a minor in Coaching from Fresno Pacific University. After that, I worked with a very large law firm in Los Angeles as their corporate physical trainer for several years before returning to FPU to earn my Master of Arts in Kinesiology with a Physical Education emphasis. From there, I started teaching PE at Orange County public schools before eventually landing a position at the University of Nevada in Las Vegas working as a part-time PE instructor and a full-time trainer for their sports program. For those of you who are MMA fans, there's a slim chance that you might recognize my name as I became involved with MMA and the UFC briefly while in Las Vegas.

And now I am here with all of you lovely people!

For those of you in any of the phys ed classes here that have had TBA as instructor on your schedule and have been working under whomever happens to be available at the time, I'll be your new teacher. In addition to that, I will be working as a personal trainer with the sports program here so I may have a few of you star athletes out there assigned to me. I'll also be sponsoring the boxing club and coaching Women's Soccer and Track & Field. If you can't already tell, I like to stay busy, and I look forward to helping you all achieve and maintain peak physical fitness.

And now, to get down to business...
