Ah, yeah. I knew a lot of kids like that in high school. My parents were always less concerned about sports, though, than they were about academics.

Honestly? Not as much as I probably should. But I can make some pretty good Vietnamese food and I know how to behave properly when my grandparents are visiting. I guess that's good enough. And my mother took me to my fair share of pow-wows when I was young. I even had regalia at one point, and could do the fancy shawl dance, but I've not been to one of those in years.
