David understood, he truly did. He did. The obnoxious noise in his head was obnoxious though, content with letting his own ability being known -- while duly noting the direct address as well. Knock it off. Done. The option, the offer, had been made known and everything quieted down in time to enjoy the kiss to the cheek, David smirking with a happy nod. Done and done.
He kept their hands linked though, intent on keeping that connection, that anchor to keep minds from flying away and worrying. In Melanie's office, Melanie herself, still as Rudy, still cradling tea and most definitely more at east (but not having moved at all either, intent on doing as little of that as possible), looked up at the request -- Oliver's response was a grin that indicated how much fun he thought it would be. "Sounds like fun. Ptonomy's ability is really quite fascinating," that accent hit all the bright keys of the last word, showcasing his genuine enthusiasm for it.
"Earlier today," Oliver continued, standing, Ptonomy's expression so much brighter than Ptonomy himself often was. "Not a problem." It was another form of telepathy, in a sense, a complete mastery of memory, one's own memory and others' -- truly remarkable -- but not completely foreign to him. Thus, he was confident as he motioned to Syd to take a seat somewhere so as to be comfortable. "Would you prefer it to be kept between the two of us, or would you like David and/or Melanie to join as well?"
David looked to Syd, taking a seat on one of the couches with her, squeezing their joined hands. Do whatever is most comfortable for you. Knowing his own knee-jerk reactions to mind work and wanting to do it alone at first, he understood wanting to keep things from potentially getting too crowded in the mind. Whatever Syd needed, wanted, he could roll with.
