Waiting for his reply, Syd bit her lip absently, then smiled a very learned-from-him bright smile at the results. Thank god. And the fact that it was actually all her, the help offered appreciated but pride taken in doing something so scary by herself, made her smile even more, head ducking down for a minute to get herself together.

Keeping the fort for celebratory purposes, hot chocolate toasts and junk food feasts to mark the misadventure of her own accidental making and the strange but kind of fun times that came with it. And also that she was able to switch back herself, rather than relying on the passage of time.
Stretching out normal-length legs (normal for her anyway!) she shifted and laid down on the floor, elbows up and open palms propping her head up so she could still see David. "Thank you, for believing in me." He knew, she knew that he did -- it meant the world to have someone who actually fully believed in you for no other reason than they cared that much.
