“I have to err on the side of caution,” she answered, draining the last bit of her beer. “I’m a doctor. If I don’t want to be sued for malpractice, I need to be responsible.” There were too many stories about doctors or surgeons who’d had a few too many and then messed someone up for life. She didn’t want to be one of those cautionary tales.
