My strategy was to tell no one until the very moment I left my team!

However, one time there were so many rumours I was moving to Puddlmere United that I got a pay bump!

There's a difference between not telling anyone and flat out lying, though.

Well, I am not sure that would work in this instance. The Canadian teams are still very much on the up and up, and while they want their countrymen and women back desperately, the big European teams know full well that they carry more prestige as the game currently stands.
