Echo was born seven minutes after his fraternal twin Micah, and was a surprise to everyone, including their mother. Having not had a second name picked out previously, combined with the drugs they gave her during labor, she chose to name him Echo since his presence followed his brother’s.

Growing up, the brothers caused havoc. In school they were always cutting up and, even though Echo was more interested in chasing the girls then excelling academically, he did manage to swing B’s and C’s most of the time. A family friend saved Echo and Micah both more than once from being expelled or suspended, without telling their parents, the only condition being that they would graduate and go off to college to make something of themselves.

After high school, they made good on their promise and signed up for CUNY. Echo perused a Master’s degree in Business Administration, while his brother pursued a MFA. He had to work a bit harder, since there was no longer someone to save his ass every time he got himself into a spot of trouble, though he still never pulled an A in any class. The girls and the parties were just too distracting and too hard to say no to. His sophomore year, Echo joined a band as the guitarist. While they were pretty good and played a few gigs, they never made it big as Echo hoped they would to save him from a life of 9 to 5 work.

College lifestyle did not officially end for Echo, even though he was twenty three when he graduated. He never was employed for anything his degree could have been used for. Instead, he shared a house with his brother and worked a forty hour week at a minimum wage job to keep up his end of the bills. He had been a stock boy, a bartender, and a bouncer all by the time he hit twenty five. Weekends, and a few weeknights, were still used for partying, going out, and jamming with the band from time to time when they could fit it into all of their schedules.

Twenty five was also the age that Micah and Echo moved to Australia. Micah had got himself a radio job and since the two had never been separated by more than a few walls, Echo went along with him, sure to find something else minimum wage he could do, he had good references. Besides, Australian girls had accents, and there had to be someone to jam with over there right?

And right it was. He became the lead guitar player for Untitled before long, and started working as a bartender at a place called Tsun and a bouncer at Hell City. He met Jayde and she turned into his best friend, unusual behavior for him but she was unlike any girl he ever met. Micah ended up close with her as well. Then the evntual happened, he fell in love with Jayde...and so did Micah. Jayde had a choice to make because she could no longer have both brothers. When she picked Micah, Echo was devastated. The only girl he ever loved he had to watch love his brother. A house divided, the twins' newfound aggression towards each other culminated in a fight about a month and a half later. Jayde anaged to break the fight up but not before enough damage was done to cause Micah to have broken ribs and Echo to have a set of five stitches in his forehead. Once they were patched up, the Collocott boys seemed to let eveything go and it all went back to normal. Echo and Jayde became friends again and all was well. Or so it seemed...

A phone call to Micah revealed the death of his producer at the local radio station. He was also told that Melvin had left him one in LA. As soon as Micah had made his decision, Echo was packing as well. After all, there was no way in hellhe was going to let Micah head off on his own; it just wasn't going to happen. Jayde decided to tag along as well and the three headed off to LA once all the paperwork had been completed.
