001.
I would like to reiterate that aconite, also known as monkshood or wolfsbane, is poisonous.

If you're mixing draughts and potions at home or anywhere else, please label your bottles correctly.

It's the strangest thing, the past couple of days. I was absolutely fine at dinner the other night, I actually indulged in that cake I made. Merlin knows that wasn't a good idea, however, proven by my run to the bathroom at a lovely 4:13 in the morning. Maybe it's the overtime at work finally getting to me. But feeling nauseous and sore followed by bits of irritation can be caused by several different things, right? Like...the flu, a stomach bug, stress, PMS--

Wait. No. No.

When was my last...? I couldn't be...could I? I...don't know.

Bloody hell.

It – may be nothing, but have you heard the name Damocles Belby? He’s published an article recently about the positive effects that Wolfsbane may have on werewolves and their transformations. This information is quite recent, and I highly doubt anyone would try something like this on their own if they aren’t extremely proficient in the Dark Arts brewing.

The name sounds vaguely familiar. Do you think this has to do with his article and someone trying to test his theory?

There are few people who come to mind that would try something like that- it's a herb you have to be extremely careful with. I'll keep a close eye on Mr. Madley.

I don’t see why he would. The full moon isn’t until next week, and from what I’ve gathered in the article, this potion is extremely difficult to brew, even with working knowledge of the process. None of this seems to fit, is what I’m trying to explain. Do you suppose we should contact Moody about this?

No, it doesn't seem to make much sense. We're not even sure what he was trying to take- his wife brought him in after he collapsed in their kitchen. He's not lucid enough to talk right now, and it's hard to tell how much affect the poison had on him. It's lucky we got him stable at all. We took some samples and there'll be some tests back tomorrow- I'll let you know what we find.

Maybe we should- or at least bring it up at the meeting?

Yes, certainly at the meeting. If anyone knows any more information than you’re able to find, we can discuss it there. Be careful.

Yeah, Dorcas' Da works in the same department as him. She's going to get as much information as she can from there and I'll do the same from Mungo's.

I'll do my best.
