Thank you to all my well wishers, I've quite enjoyed the flurry of owls at my window bringing congratulations from friends and family, near and far. But I do wish our country's journalists would think of consulting the subjects of their articles themselves rather than relying on gossip and hearsay. Isn't it interesting how they always somehow cleverly manage to find an unnamed source? One who is willing to add just the right infusion of creativity and dramatic flair to what would otherwise be a staid news item?

But no mind, it would be foolish to tarnish such sunny days with anything other than agreeable thoughts.

Ignore the Prophet, dear sister. Its what they want, to get you riled up.

You're right of course. It's just that mother read it before I had even had my first cup of coffee. Quite a disagreeable start to the day.

I agree, but then again, most of my mornings have been disagreeable when it comes to mother. She has been quite vocal with the disappointment I am since your future husband banned me from court.

She is exacting in all things, it's true. It seems even I fail to live up to her expectations at times.

I'm sorry about your situation, you must know it's my hope to remedy it when I am able.

But even if you can not live up to her expectations, she still rewards you with praise. Even if you do not hear it.

I thank you, it would be nice to be among my peers again.

True. I had thought up until that Prophet article that I could do no wrong.

How are things otherwise?

The Prophet is annoying. They're racing and scrambling for some sort of scandal because of the date. Its not like with the Weasley girl and how there was actual evidence to her wild birthday weekend. (Still can not believe I was kicked out of court for commenting on the distasteful activities of those I should "consider my betters".)

Things are otherwise okay. I am bored for most of the day, mum keeps me excluded from all things social for fear I might add more shame to the Greengrass name. I never thought I would miss tea with mum and her friends. The only bright spot I have is Draco.

The prince is a strange man with strange ideas. There is no accounting for them or him.

I'm sorry you're being socially quarantined by mother, that strikes me as excessive. Perhaps having two weddings to fuss over will restore her to good humor soon. Is Draco being properly supportive?

Definitely strange. How was your weekend? He was not inappropriate was he?

I was, once upon a time, okay with the social quarantine, but the longer it goes on, the more I long for the companionship I had. Draco has not asked me to marry him yet, but I have a feeling it will come soon. Draco is properly supportive. I enjoy my time with him, I can't wait to see him when we are apart, and if there were a perfect someone for me, I believe I have found him.

I don't think "inappropriate" even begins to cover it. But Paris is always lovely and I'm certain everything will go according to plan.

I'm happy to hear he's being so wonderful. And certainly a ring will follow soon. I can't imagine a more suitable husband for you.

He didn't.. try anything did he? I am sure you showed him what a proper Lady would do in a situation like that, if he had.

Thank you Daphne.

He erred more in manner than in action. That particular activity will wait safely for the wedding night.

We should plan on lunch or a shopping excursion or something soon. Your company would be a welcome change from the prince's trying behavior.

Good, because I would hate to see you in the same situation as some of his past fiances. As for his manners, the entire kingdom is aware that he is found lacking in that area.

We should! We can catch up properly and shop for your wedding at the same time.

That I should never permit to happen. I'm afraid you're right about his manners, and I don't see that there is much hope for me to influence him in that regard.

Lovely. Let's. The minute that shopping fails to lift my spirits is the same moment I'll be dead.
