To have a week that began with such promise and joy marred by violence and death is hard to comprehend. My thoughts go out to all those affected by these recent attacks.

	If I've learned anything this past month, it's that news reports are no guarantee of accuracy. It would have been, oh, vaguely comforting to know whether you and your children were really unhurt and where you were.
