Bleach
"That's more than I could ask of anyone." (As of April 17, 2012)
Zelgadis met Ukitake over the network and was pretty tight-lipped about his curse, but then he happened upon the man in the throes of a medical crisis and helped heal him. Their subsequent interactions have been more open on Zelgadis' end, since he figures he knows Ukitake's business so why shouldn't he be honest? And truly, he knows what it's like to have an insurable thing hanging over your head all the time. Even if they're not exactly in the same situation, it's a bit of a bond. That Ukitake was impressed by Zelgadis' skills during a spar with Saber and wants to fight him? Makes him all the more interesting. Zelgadis doesn't quite understand why Ukitake is fine without having a permanent cure for his conditiohn, but who is he to tell people how to live? Besides, it's not like the guy looks like a freak so it's not quite the same thing.

Diva
Blood+
"Just don't wear the hood. You look much prettier without it." (As of April 17, 2012)
He only met Diva once, but did she EVER leave an impression. It was during the mistletoe bots event and not only was she totally unflustered and weird about having to kiss a total stranger, but she said his looks were interesting and that he shouldn't care what people think. And then she pressed up against him like a long lost lover and it thoroughly activated the hormonal adolescent part of his brain that he'd turned off when he was cursed. He backed away before anything too humiliating could happen but -- whoa. Can't say he'd love to see her again. ...or maybe he would, a little.
Buffy: The Vampire Slayer
Willow Rosenberg
Buffy: The Vampire Slayer
"I'll keep working on it but... it's not looking too good for me right now." (As of April 17, 2012)
They only talked once, when Willow seemed to be having trouble with the magic restrictions. Zelgadis really felt for her, because not having you magic sucks and he wouldn't wish it on -- well, most anyone. So he offered to help her out with some practice. Nothing's come of it yet, but he hopes she figured it out.
Cardcaptor Sakura
Sakura Kinomoto
Cardcaptor Sakura
"Are you a...ghost?" (As of April 17, 2012)
And Zelgadis joins the club of people who find Sakura irresistibly adorable. Not only is she sweet and earnest, but she wants to get stronger and that's something he can respect. She reminds him just a little of himself before his curse, wanting to do the right thing and use whatever power he had to help people. That's why he offered to train with her. And that she accepted him when he said he wasn't a ghost was made of stone really made him like her. Definitely would enjoy being a big brother type to the girl.
D.Gray-Man
Allen Walker
D.Gray-Man
"And here I was looking forward to my loot. I suppose I can let you off this time." (As of April 17, 2012)
A lot has happened with Allen lately, and it made Zelgadis acutely aware of both how very much Allen is dealing with and how desperately Zelgadis wants to help him with it. Allen was there for him when he almost lost it over getting magically cured for just one day and suffering the trauma or turning back, he helped Zelgadis deal with his argument(s) with Saber and all that awkwardness. Allen was even great about their forced mistletoe-bot kiss, never making it overly awkward of bringing it up since then. He's as much a friend as Zelgadis has here and he doesn't just want to sit by and not help.
However, he is starting to get how complicated things are on Allen's world, or at the very least he believes Allen when he hints at it. So he's feeling quite helpless, which is definitely not his favorite feeling. He also doesn't quite get why Allen was so bothered by the Devil's Compass being burned down. Seemed like a not-even-fair-enough quid pro quo to him. /shrug
All that aside, Zelgadis was pleased that Allen enjoyed watching him spar with Saber even if he was a little insulted that Allen wanted to fight Saber instead of him. He doesn't want anyone to think he's weak, and that is especially true with people like Allen whom he respects. So he'll definitely be looking for a chance to redeem himself there.
*** "You don't have to say anything. But I'm not leaving you like this." (As of November 14, 2100)
Allen is one of the first people Zelgadis met in Marina, and he seems nice enough. Which is to say, Zelgadis doesn't really understand him. Despite having a sort of similar physical deformity issue, Allen is open and friendly while Zelgadis has learned to hide himself. But that intrigues him as much as it confuses him, and circumstances were such that Allen was interested in seeing his escape attempts, so he was content to let Allen hang around. Somewhere along the line he started to like the kid a little, and maybe trust him a little -- maybe. He's the person Zelgadis would call for help if needed, and someone Zelgadis would protect with more fierceness than a stranger, but it takes a lot for him to call someone a friend and they're not there yet. Still, Allen is easy to talk to and all that, so he's fine with them being acquainted.
Seeing Allen at the Halloween event, when Allen was bitter about his appearance and insinuated that he wasn't treated well, Zelgadis started understanding him a little, he thinks. It sort of annoys him that Allen can move on from that and he can't (but he doesn't know the whole story, nor will he probably ask). Overall he feels like Allen understands him better than most people can (or try to) and that gives him an extra nudge toward 'comfortable'.
Tyki Mikk
D.Gray-Man
"A little touch here and a little touch there and I can have you bleeding in no time." (As of April 17, 2012)
Zelgadis' "unsure" when it came to Tyki was given a violent shove into "this guy needs to die" when Cross ended up crucified in the church thanks to Tyki and Road. He reminded Zelgadis of a Mazoku before, and now the comparison is so much more apt. They haven't interacted since, but Zelgadis had zero problem with Kitty burning down his bar and wishes the man were inside at the time. He sees no reason why the guy should be allowed to breathe anymore. However, he'll have to settle for helping Allen in whatever way he can.
*** (As of November 14, 2011)
This one is suspicious in a big way. Zelgadis isn't entirely sure what to make of him on his own, but he's definitely running his own agenda and isn't bothered at all by putting people in danger. That and Allen's warning that he's extremely dangerous is enough to make Zelgadis fine with keeping out of his way while in the back of his mind trying to decide how he could best someone with Tyki's power in a fight.

DOGS: Bullets and Carnage
"...A sword might have a better chance." (As of April 17, 2012
They only had one chat, but Zelgadis figures he really freaked the poor lady out on account of the way he was trying to slice into his arm, and all. He was pretty closed off about the reason, which probably didn't help matters. He actually feels a little bad about it and now that he's getting less uncomfortable at Marina he wouldn't mind trying to be a little less -- well, weird at her.
Fate/Zero
Saber
Fate/Zero
"This forced situation is not the way I desire--" (As of April 17, 2012)
So much has happened between them since Zelgadis accidentally found himself Saber's "Master." Rather than just being uncomfortable with her presence on principle, Zelgadis has learned about Saber and finds himself uncomfortable for entirely different reasons now. They shared dreams -- memories from one another's pasts -- and he saw for himself just how she values her goal and her ideals. he respects that and admires it, since he considers himself to have lost his ideals after he found out the truth about Rezo. More than anything he wants to see her succeed in what she's after.
But with that new intimacy has come a definite tension between them. Saber and her repeated assertions that he shouldn't think of her as human (when she keeps insisting that he should think of himself as nothing less) drive him a little crazy because he -- can't think of her like that. She's not a toy for his use, she's a person with feelings and her own goals. After the mistletoe-bots forced them to kiss, things have been even weirder. Saber said she didn't want to be forced into kissing him but he had to do so, which is driving him absolutely crazy with guilt and confusion to the point where he can't sleep because she's beside him. He's tried talking to a few people about it but so many people just tease him about his "girlfriend" until he's a mass of stuttering denial and can't even begin to really think about how he feels. Thank goodness for Yomi.
And how does he really feel? He wishes he knew. He had a great time sparring with her, he respects her ideals and her fighting abilities, he finds himself doing little things like cooking bigger meals to try and make her more content. He sort of presumes that she doesn't want any sort of relationship beyond "official Master/Servant" at all, and in fact she's said as much, but yet he still is confused. He really shouldn't be so confused, because it's clear what she wants... but whatever the case, she is becoming desperately important to him and it's getting damn hard to hide that, even from himself.
*** "It is only natural that I ask about you!" (As of November 14, 2011)
Whoo, boy. Just thinking about Saber and trying to decide what she is to him makes Zelgadis want to huddle into a stoic pile of silent. At first she was an annoyance, always following him around like a damn babysitter and insisting that she was going to keep doing it, moving into his place uninvited and demanding that he make her unreasonable amounts of food. The absolute last thing he needed was a shadow, especially a loud-spoken one who had an opinion on everything.
But... quietly, he started changing his mind. She's brave and strong, which he admires, but more then that she supports him. She may annoy him with trying to get him out of his mask in public, but he appreciates her faith that he will find a way to be human again. He became comfortable with her, easily living together and even reluctantly sharing a bed (even if he thinks the reasoning for that is ludicrous :| ). He values her support and wants to do the same for her -- if only he could figure out how to do so without getting dangerously close to her.
A large source of emotional conflict for him about Saber is the fear that she's only with him, only supporting him, because she has to. When in their recent thread she confirmed this to be true, he couldn't help being upset. She is coming to mean something to him, and he wants to mean something to her too -- something other than just her "Master." That scares him a fair amount. He can't fathom being close to someone in his current form but she's finding ways past all his defenses (sometimes with sheer persistence)... and yet he can't do the same for her. He keeps telling himself he has to stop this while he can...

Edward Elric

"I don't believe in magic. It's ridiculous!" (As of April 17, 2012)
Has Zelgadis mentioned that he finds it really weird that people get so caught up in the difference between whatever flavor of not-mundane way of making things work they use and just calling it magic? Sheesh. And Ed is certainly one of the biggest offenders. Alchemy, magic, what's the big thing? But Zelgadis was mostly just side-eying the boy's temper which seemed to flare up over nothing. He's used to that, but it's still annoying. But the kid knows about the Philosopher's Stone, so maybe he's not entirely useless.

"Okay, here's what you're going to say. Listening?" (As of April 17, 2012)
He hasn't known Yomi that long, but for reasons he can't explain they have a great connection. She's smart, considerate, proud and kind. Zelgadis respects her enough to come to her with his problems, though a little sneakily as he pretends he doesn't want to talk about them. She just has this way of letting him trust her and he just finds himself spilling his guts -- and not feeling judged, which is amazing. He'd never admit it, but the way Yomi treats him is really quite touching, as is the way she says little things about herself too. He's glad of that because the least he can do is be there for her in return, even though he'd be awful at it. But he would try, and somehow he knows that she wouldn't make him feel bad for failing.
He is a little worried about her because she's implied more than once that she's been accused of crimes she doesn't remember, but he's hoping it'll all blow over. Although it hasn't been that many days since they met they've had a lot of good, long discussions and he feels confident in saying that he knows she's not a bad person and that there has to be some explanation for those other crimes.
Not to mention, her coughing up the extra-strong espresso was really cute.
