I agree about most of the fault going to the writers for the trends we saw in S3. I think some of the directors can probably take a little of the blame, as well. I still have a lot of love for KB (I just rewatched S1 and it helped me remember exactly how groundbreaking it was for me, and how much everyone just owned the parts they played except Teddy Dunn--I'll never think he was anything more than mediocre and nailed the characterizations time and time again.
Wow, I can still fangirl over this show. For a while there I thought S3 had drained all of the love out of me.
I have much bigger ones with Veronica in early to mid season 2. That Veronica I just don't GET. At all.
SO there with you on that one. I've heard so many people try to fanwank an explanation for her behavior and I've just never bought any of it. She was just so not-Veronica. It actually took me a while to start regularly watching VM again, after I saw the first couple eps of S2. The quality of the show itself was still pretty excellent, though, so I let it lure me back.
I don't have much to say about S3 in general. I just prefer to pretend that it doesn't exist.
But Heroes and Kristen? I'm really looking forward to it, and I think KB will do a great job, as long as she can remember not to phone it in. We'll see, I guess.
