Long Way Down!!!
You know, I thought I might have been building up the anticipation for so long that the actual show would be a letdown, BUT IT TOTALLY WASN'T. So much love that I had to picspam, even though I knew Steph would be doing the same (it's right here, by the way).
If the opening credits are anything to go by, Africa is going to be beauuuutiful. Much as I love Long Way Round, that whole Russia thing is just insanely bleak.
Ewan draping an English flag around himself? What fresh hell is this?!

They're not competitive, no sirree! Just see how Ewan's not rubbing it in Charley's face and how Charley's not so disgusted he's walking away. See? Totally not competitive.
Hahahahahahaha! Look at Charley scampering and Ewan's complete GLEE at how he got them all killed.

Spotted dick, WHAT?! Someone please tell me what that is before my mind goes into territories too terrifying to mention.
I'm not sure how I feel about this. On the one hand, I think she and Ewan are ridiculously cute together. On the other hand, she said it herself: the bike is only a means to an end for her, while Ewan and Charley LOVE to ride. I mean, it's pretty much a given that they're going to have stay off the more adventurous paths. I kinda hope that Olly comes down too. Not to ride, but to be there so that it won't be Ewan-and-Eve...and then Charley.
Plus, it's not like they don't have money, couldn't she an Ewan make a shorter trip later? I doubt Charley's an essential part of the journey for her.
But hey, maybe it'll all turn out for the best. *crosses fingers*
Is this his home? Considering how private he and his wife seem to be I thought it probably wouldn't be, but where else would he be when he's laid up with broken bones and has nowhere to go? Plus, it's a video diary...

So, I'm seeing a lot of comments about the new pop-up things. I don't get them because I have the NoScript extension installed (thank you VERY much once again, Firefox), but Teija mentioned how to disable them. I've copy-pasted the info since it's hard to rewrite it when I can't actually go and find out for myself. *g*
I didn't understand a word of that, but maybe those who want to get rid of it can make sense of it? Or just install NoScript or AdBlock.
I'm so freaked out by the news that there actually is going to be another X-Files movie. In spite of hoping, I never really thought they'd go through with it. Now please, just don't suck.

You can turn them off if you put up with one and use the little gear icon to mess with the options. You can't just hit 'disable,' it didn't work for me, you actually have to mess with the options. But after that it worked.
