It's like the herpes of the internet world.

You've already been exposed to every single communicable disease that I have ever had, which explains your immunity to it!

Hey copycats are even better than lemmings. Thanks for reminding us of that.

And Drake has a point, they are kind of contagious. Especially with how many attention whores are running around this place.

Not that you would know anything about attention whores.

Nope, not a thing.

Perhaps we'll be lucky enough to spot one in it's natural habitat.

I can't imagine they'd be hard to miss. They do everything for the attention after all.

It is their defining characteristic. Secondary characteristics have been purported to include ruffling the feathers of any unlucky enough to encounter them and continuous talking.

Yup. That'd definitely be hard to miss. Unless there's a whole flock of them. Then it'd be figuring out which one you're looking for.

Especially considering how they feed off of each other in those types of situations.

Well, yeah. Everybody else knows ignoring them is the only way to make them go away.

The problem is that most people seem to completely miss the point and just add fuel to their fire. They're an epidemic of massive proportions. Someone really must think of the children.

Poor kids. Last thing they need is being encouraged...

Oh wait, you're talking about the other kids.

Depends on whose side you're on.

You have a strange obsession with lemmings. It's even stranger because it's based on a misconception about lemmings. They don't do the mass suicide thing. The article that started that rumor involved launching lemmings off of a cliff using a turntable. They didn't do it themselves, so your constant comparisons really hold no water (incidentally, lemmings do sometimes drown in somewhat large numbers when they're crossing large bodies of water, but still... that's migration, not groups deciding to do stupid things).

Well thank you Ms. Pryde for the nature lesson. I am now feeling incredibly enlightened and sheepish for purporting a common myth for the sake sarcastic humor.

It was clearly wasted on the audience in question. My bad.

Protip: Purporting myths for sarcastic humor only works when it's actually humorous.

No, it wasn't. I just don't want you to have the lemming rights organizations coming after you.

You know I'd scoff at lemming rights' organizations existing, but they probably do. Especially since you just mentioned them.

Lemmings are a long misunderstood and oppressed species.

And now I am seeing a bunch of lemmings with protest signs with slogans. "Know the truth!" "We didn't jump off those rocks, they jumped off us!" Stuff like that.
