Some general notes:

1) I want a Segway.

2) New life goal: Ninja Warrior.

3) I just woke up from a dream involving Ziggy. So here's a beautiful mother/baby picture from a shopping trip we took him on:

Did you take Ziggy hunting?!

No, of course not! They didn't sell rifles that were small enough.

I know. He was staring so longingly at everything and I felt so bad knowing that he would never get the chance to grow up and accidentally shoot one of his friends instead of the wildlife. It made me feel like a horrible parent, knowing that he wouldn't have that basic American right.

Denying your kid his amendments. You should be ashamed, Alice.

I'm not the one denying him. It's not my fault that his growth is stunted. If he were actually my biological child, yes, it would probably be my fault if he ended up tiny. But he can't grow, and I'm not the one to blame this time.

Do you think it would have been good enough for him if I'd just bought him this shirt?

Only if it were a onesie so he could sleep in it.

I'm pretty sure I could make that happen. They at least come in kids sizes, so worst case scenario, I could buy a little one and have it tailored into a onesie.

Or just tie it into a knot under his butt. Who's it really going to inconvenience? Other than you.

That's it. We're getting married. You and me. But I want it to be a shotgun wedding, so you're going to have to knock me up first.

Okay, okay. How about this. Double shotgun wedding. You can both knock me up, I'll be unsure of who the father is, and then I'll have to marry both of you.

I just thought it would be convenient to be able to buy the guns, beer, and dress all at the same place. I mean, think of how much gas money we'd save, not having to drive all over the place for everything? I'm being frugal.

I dunno, I mean my bike's supposedly already knocked Bobby up. Shouldn't she be making an honest man out of him?

Unless your bike is Lady Gaga, I don't think it's legal yet for Bobby to actually marry her. At least not in New York.

Ain't no such thing as too late. Haven't you heard? He can totally reclaim his virginity and then save himself for her, promise ring and all.

Wait. So all you have to do to be a virgin is to say "hey, I'm a virgin again now?" Are there more hoops to jump through depending on how far gone your virginity is?

Might want to check and see if there's any Jewish revirginating service, I suppose. Is Judaism even as hung up on the whole virginity and purity thing, anyway?

(Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

[info]_kitzilla_
2011-05-16 09:17 pm UTC (link)
Depends on the type of Judaism, but as I understand it all, no. It's not nearly as big a deal. At least it doesn't seem like it is. I mean, the media skews your perception of it from the Christianity side, so I don't know how big of a deal it really is and how much of it is just overexposure. But it's not a one way ticket to hell or anything in Judaism.
