My first year at Hogwarts went really quickly. Does it always go that quickly? I feel like I'll be finishing school before I even really notice.

I enjoyed my birthday, and Halloween. Now it feels like there's a long way to go until Christmas. There needs to be another festival in-between. The Great Hall looks bare undecorated, but apparently they're not going to decorate it until the 1st December.

I wasn't sure when Mummy and Daddy told me I should ride the train rather than just going in with Mummy, but I'm glad I did. I got to meet some people before the feast and the boatride over the lake was very pretty with Hogwarts all lit up.

The feast was good too but I'm tired now. I hardly slept last night because I was ~~nervous~~ excited. I think I'll sleep well even though I'm in a room with other people.

Oh, and I got sorted Slytherin. Obviously.

It seems a bit silly to get sent a Hogwarts letter when my Mummy works there so obviously I'm going, but I suppose it's tradition. Traditions can be good but they can also be stupid. Daddy says he's going to frame my letter but I think it would be better to frame some of my art. It's prettier that just a bunch of letters on some parchment. Professor Snape's handwriting isn't even that nice.

Blood blood blood blood blood! My dress looks like I've been stabbed a hundred times. It's very cool.

We're having drinks called Bloody Mary. Well, actually they said it was the gin Mary, but it still looks bloody. And ice cream with strawberry sauce. And spaghetti worms in blood sauce. And my cake is going to bleed.

Hydra is always trying to play with my things, it's so annoying. She has her own stupid baby toys to play with, why does she need mine? Sometimes she even breaks things and I have to get Daddy to fix them and it interrupts the game. Today I went to read one of my books and there was a page torn out of it and I don't even know where she put the page so we can't fix it. She probably ate it. She is always putting things in her mouth and getting drool all over them.
