They won, too. They did what we couldn't. Trained Aurors couldn't defeat Voldemort, but a 17 year old without training got it done in less than a year. That shows us, doesn't it?

I think so. I think it was a bit much to absorb at first. I'm not entirely certain he's quite used to the idea of us being around, but I think so. That's the hardest part, Amelia. He calls me Mum and he has no idea who I am. As a child, he used to think that I was some sort of hero. He drew pictures. Wrote me letters. I suppose he left them at the hospital for me. But he doesn't know that everything that nearly happened to him, his proximity to that war in the future, it was my fault. It might've been him who had to defeat Voldemort. It was dumb luck that made it the Potters' son.
