Morfi went ... I don't know if that's even the proper verb to describe it. Anyway, he's not here anymore. I know other daemons are also disappearing. Does anyone know the story they come from? Does their disappearance signify anything?


I don't think I'll ever look at birds in quite the same way.

They're from the His Dark Materials series, in which in a world that's like our own but not our own daemons are the physical form of the soul outside the body. They'd only disappear if you'd died, pretty much.

I'm just looking at it like, temporarily, our universe of origin changed to the one daemons are from and now it's changed back.
