She studied hard, took on more courses than recommended, passed them all and made her way through the academic steps in rapid pace, gaining both her MD and PhD. She's highly motivated, highly skilled and sometimes hates that she does plastic surgery on rich people to pay the bills so she can do pro bono work on kids. Mara is originally from New York but moved to Tampa for practical purposes -- she often travels to Third World countries with groups like Doctors Without Borders and being in Florida is just that one step closer.
