While I am sure this will be an unpopular opinion, a few months is not so bad. If I remember correctly there have been times we have been not able to leave other then until Yule.

So really, is freaking out necessary? I am sure our lives will not go to pot over a few months. Seriously.

	It is considerably less inconvenient for students, who would have been here anyway. Not everyone can afford to put their lives on hold for months. (Reply to this) (Thread)

I think it's unreasonable for people not to freak out given the circumstance. We're being forced to stay in a place where not only are we not students, we're expected to sit around and do very little in place of our personal lives. We have rent to pay, bills due, family on the other side who might need or rely on us. All the while we're not allowed to work and earn the money to do any of the above.

Moreover, we don't even have a change of clothing.

Beyond that, don't you worry at all that a significant portion of the Auror department is trapped here with you while a death eater has just escaped from Azkaban? I know I am.

First off, that is just it, while I understand there are people with those issues. Do you not think something won't be done about it? Also, I'm sure they may start sending our things and its not like we can't transfigure certain items that are needed...

As for Carrow, wouldn't having them here keep us safe in case he attempts to return. Leaving the rest to apprehended him if he does not? ~~Though they did let him escape...~~

No, I honestly don't think anything would be done about it. It's nobody's responsibility to pay my dues but mine -- compounded by just how many of us there are in here? And yes, they may start sending our things, but the idea of a ministry employee rooting through my personal belongings beginning with my knickers doesn't exactly inspire comforting thoughts either.

Having us here doing nothing is not at all productive. We're not guarding here, we're not allowed to leave here. There is a very different circumstance involved. And while yes, if something were to happen, we'll be here, but that does not allow the same comfort to other locations in our society.

This is completely ignoring that instead of transporting the patients in question to a facility equipped to deal with this, they instead kept the patients here, with us, with no influx of staff from St Mungos.

The entire population is already at risk, sweetheart. This Quarantine isn't going to do a thing but make the rest of us sick in our plastic little bubble. You do now how the spread of infectious diseases works, right? This isn't about keeping us or the rest of the wizarding world safe, it's the fact they're all too stupid and fearful to figure out how to handle the situation, and imprisonment seems like the best option.

And I see, resorting to house prejudices, hm? That's so very mature of someone who claims to be 'Head Girl'.
