Memory 2 (Day 94, Game 65 - Persona)
Positive-Neutral - Having lunch with Shiki on the rooftop.
This is a memory from 3-4 years ago. Mikiya and Shiki are having lunch on the school rooftop. Mikiya brings up the subject of a murder that happened over the summer. The victim had his hands and legs cut off. He goes on to explain to Shiki how although the person could have bled to death, it was more likely that he died from shock. Shiki reprimands him a bit for talking about such a gory topic during lunch. He apologizes and the memory ends.
What he learns:
- possible useful information on how a person can die if they lost a limb or two or three or while they're being eaten alive by terapedes? (not really)
- He knows Shiki. They were classmates and he enjoys hanging out with her.
- As Shiki told him, his surname is Kokuto.
What this means:
This was originally a positive neutral memory because it was a memory with Shiki. Talking about murder cases and death nonchalantly is normal for canon-Mikiya. But because he gets this memory after being nommed alive by terapedes, it's... not as positive anymore.
The talk on how the victim died hit too close to home too soon, so he's a little horrified by himself. It's not a traumatic memory. It just came at a bad time. He'll soon filter out that part of the conversation and focus on the fact that he remembered Shiki.
Current status:
The terapede attack was traumatic. Reviving was traumatic. He's working on getting his freak-out under control because being scared all the time isn't going to help anyone. He appreciates his partner team even more now. And if he was against needless killing before, he's even more against it now.
Persona's Game:
Ruby remembered 'him' but she said his name was 'Tohno Shiki'. This strikes him as odd but he's not saying anything about it yet. Ruby was freaking out and it wasn't the right time to do so.
Overall:
As it is Mikiya's way, he'll be putting his focus on his team. He'll help with chores and do whatever it is that needs to be done. He'll be supportive to anyone who needs it. He'll micromanage his own trauma in the meantime.
